Red Carnation Hotels & Champagne Lanson Host Wimbledon Pop-up at The Rubens

Red Carnation Hotels and Champagne Lanson have partnered to host an exclusive pop-up at The Rubens at the Palace between 1st July to 14th July. Guests can indulge in Champagne Lanson’s newest cuvee, Le Rosé Création 67, paired with limited-edition tennis-themed sweet treats crafted by Paula Pastry, Global Director of Chocolate and Patisserie for the premium hotel group.

Renowned for its opulent atmosphere and exceptional offerings, The Leopard Room provides an ideal setting for this special occasion. The two-week pop-up will serve up Paula Stakelum’s stunning ‘Sweet Serve Tennis’ dessert, a delightful tribute to the iconic Wimbledon strawberries and cream, to customers watching the unmissable Championships on TV screens throughout the competition.

The dessert features a strawberry and cream tart, carefully adorned with Valrhona ‘Opalys’ velvety white chocolate, and perfectly paired with a glass of Champagne Lanson Le Rosé Création 67 – all for just £36.

Le Rosé Création 67, a versatile cuvée with subtle floral and fruity notes of strawberry, redcurrant, and pomelo, complements the dessert beautifully. This champagne is made from a 2019 base harvest of grapes sourced from 27 Grand and Premier Crus villages, including Bouzy, Les Riceys, and Valée de la Marne. Notably, the name ‘Création 67’ refers to the 67th production of a non-vintage rosé at the esteemed Maison.

Paula Stakelum, also known as Paula Pastry, says:

“I’m incredibly proud to partner with Champagne Lanson as an official sponsor of Wimbledon 2024. It’s an honour to be associated with such a prestigious event, celebrating the pinnacle of tennis excellence. We’re also thrilled to present a special tennis dessert that embodies the spirit of being British and pairs perfectly with Lanson’s exquisite Le Rosé Création 67.”

Celebrate the tennis season in style, surrounded by the elegance and sophistication that epitomise The Leopard Room, where tennis meets culinary excellence in the heart of London.

The pop-up will run from July 1st to July 14th, at The Rubens at the Palace, 39 Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1W 0PS. Find out more here.
