LIDL BRINGS BACK ITS HEARTWARMING TOY BANK SCHEME FOR CHRISTMAS 2025

The festive season has officially arrived — and Lidl is once again spreading the Christmas cheer with the return of its Toy Bank scheme, a nationwide initiative that last year saw more than 100,000 toys donated to children who might have otherwise gone without a gift.

The announcement coincides with the premiere of Lidl’s brand-new Christmas advert, which shines a spotlight on what truly makes the season special: giving, sharing, and spending quality time with loved ones.

A Lidl More Joy This Christmas

The heartwarming campaign follows a young girl as she takes in the magic of Christmas through her own eyes, asking, “Why do we love Christmas so much?” Her answer is simple — it’s not about what we receive, but what we share. The ad encourages everyone to embrace the spirit of generosity not just in December, but all year round.

The advert airs nationwide from 2nd November at 9:30pm on ITV and across Lidl’s social media channels, including YouTube and Instagram.

How You Can Get Involved

From now until 15th December, Lidl shoppers can donate new and unopened toys at in-store Toy Bank collection points. The supermarket encourages gifts such as games, books, puzzles, and arts and crafts kits, ensuring every child wakes up to something special on Christmas morning.

Joanna Gomer, Marketing Director at Lidl GB, shared:

“Every day, we help to make our customers’ lives a little bit better by delivering the best quality products at market-leading prices. This year our Christmas campaign shows how wonderful the festive season is and challenges us all to bring that spirit every day.”

Lidl’s Toy Bank is part of its ongoing commitment to supporting communities across the UK, building on its wider initiatives that promote sustainability, affordability, and kindness — a theme perfectly in tune with the brand’s ongoing community campaigns.

Give Back and Spread the Joy

Whether you’re doing your weekly shop or picking up mince pies, Lidl invites everyone to help bring a smile to a child’s face this Christmas. Drop off a toy, share a little joy, and make this festive season about giving a Lidl more.
