Disney is bringing the world of Moana to the heart of London this summer with a brand-new immersive pop-up experience celebrating the upcoming live-action adaptation of the beloved animated classic.
Opening for one day only on 30 June 2026, the free-to-attend event will transform Potters Fields Park beside the River Thames into a Pacific-inspired adventure zone packed with family-friendly activities, live entertainment and exclusive photo opportunities ahead of the film’s UK cinema debut on 10 July 2026.
Disney’s Moana Experience Comes to Potters Fields Park
Spanning more than 10,000 square feet, the Moana Live-Action Movie Experience will immerse visitors in the world of Moana, Maui, Pua and Heihei. The centrepiece of the attraction will be a giant recreation of Maui’s magical fish hook, alongside a variety of interactive experiences inspired by the upcoming movie.
Families attending the event can expect:
- A replica of Moana’s iconic wooden canoe for photos
- Live performances from the London School of Hula and Ori
- Pua’s Pig Petting Farm
- Lei garland-making workshops
- A Moana-themed karaoke pod
- Interactive game stations with merchandise prizes
- Pacific-inspired food and drink offerings
The experience aims to celebrate Pacific culture while bringing some of the film’s most recognisable elements to life in an accessible outdoor setting.
How to Get Free Tickets
The event takes place on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, with hourly entry slots available between 2pm and 8pm. Admission is completely free, although tickets are required due to limited capacity.

What Is Disney’s Live-Action Moana About?
Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation follows Moana as she answers the Ocean’s call and ventures beyond the reef of Motunui for the first time. Joining her on the journey is the legendary demigod Maui as they embark on an epic quest to restore prosperity to her people.
The film stars Catherine Lagaʻaia as Moana and Dwayne Johnson, who reprises his role as Maui from the animated films. The movie is directed by Thomas Kail, best known for his work on Hamilton.
The soundtrack features music from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foaʻi and Mark Mancina, continuing the musical legacy that helped make the original film a global phenomenon.
Moana Arrives in UK Cinemas This July
Following the London pop-up event, Disney’s live-action Moana will officially arrive in UK cinemas on 10 July 2026. The film reimagines the Oscar-nominated 2016 animated adventure for a new generation while retaining many of the characters, songs and themes that made the original such a success.
