JUST EAT TAKEAWAY.COM TEAMS UP WITH CLARENCE SEEDORF & XAVI SIMONS FOR LIMITED-EDITION FOOTBALL STREETWEAR COLLECTION!

Just in time for the UEFA Champions League Final, Just Eat Takeaway.com is stepping into the world of fashion with a new limited-edition collaboration that brings together football heritage, streetwear culture, and generational style icons.

Developed in partnership with Dutch streetwear label Filling Pieces, and fronted by football legend Clarence Seedorf alongside rising star Xavi Simons, the collection reimagines the iconic tracksuit as the ultimate “sofa to stadium” uniform.

Football Meets Fashion: The Rise of Matchday Streetwear

Football has long influenced global style, but in recent years, matchday fashion has become a cultural statement of its own. From tunnel walks to stadium arrivals, players are increasingly using clothing as a form of self-expression.

The new collection taps into this evolution, spotlighting the tracksuit as a timeless staple of football identity. From the legendary Franz Beckenbauer era in the 1960s to the bold German national team looks of the 1980s, the tracksuit has remained a symbol of unity, status, and style across generations.

Today, it has evolved into the modern “tunnel fit” — a runway moment where players showcase individuality before stepping onto the pitch.

Xavi Simons on Self-Expression in Modern Football

Speaking on the collaboration, Xavi Simons highlighted how social media and global visibility have transformed football fashion:

“The rise of social media has allowed players to express their personality through their style and clothing choices, so we’re seeing more experimentation and collaboration with the fashion industry. It’s not all team uniforms. Finally, we’re able to see some individualism and that’s exciting.”

Simons represents a new generation of players who view matchday style as part of their identity both on and off the pitch.

Clarence Seedorf Reflects on Football Culture and Legacy

Four-time Champions League winner Clarence Seedorf brings a generational perspective to the collaboration, reflecting on the cultural power of football beyond the game itself:

“Football has always been about more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about mindset, identity, culture and the journey that shapes you. When I was playing, the tracksuit was a symbol of belonging… that sense of pride remains.”

Seedorf’s involvement reinforces the collection’s theme of legacy — connecting past, present, and future through a shared football aesthetic.

Designed for the Modern Game: Sofa to Stadium

The limited-edition collection has been created to move seamlessly between everyday life and matchday moments. Designed by Filling Pieces, the tracksuit blends premium craftsmanship with contemporary football culture.

Key design features include:

  • High-quality knitted construction
  • Colourways in charcoal grey and latte
  • Subtle orange detailing inspired by Just Eat Takeaway.com branding
  • A bespoke co-branded emblem celebrating the collaboration

According to Filling Pieces founder Guillaume Philibert, the goal was to create something authentic to both players and fans:

“Football and fashion are increasingly moving side by side… we wanted to create something that captured the energy of matchday, and that you could genuinely see players or fans wearing.”
