VODAFONE LAUNCHES 5G HOME BROADBAND ACROSS THE UK WITH SPEEDS UP TO 150MBPS

Vodafone UK has officially launched Vodafone 5G Broadband, a new home internet service designed to deliver fast and reliable connectivity to millions of UK households that cannot yet access full fibre broadband.

Powered by Vodafone’s expanding 5G network, the new service offers download speeds of up to 150Mbps, positioning it as a strong alternative to traditional part-fibre broadband connections. The telecom giant says the launch is aimed at renters, students, rural households and customers looking for a more flexible broadband option without lengthy installation processes.

Vodafone 5G Broadband Offers Plug-And-Play Setup

Unlike traditional broadband services that often require engineer visits and landline installation, Vodafone 5G Broadband is designed to work straight out of the box.

Customers simply plug in the router, connect their devices and go online immediately. There are no upfront fees, no complicated installation requirements and no waiting for engineers to arrive.

According to Vodafone, the service is up to three times faster than a typical part-fibre connection, with unlimited data included across every plan.

The company also confirmed that customers can either order online with next-day delivery or purchase directly in-store for same-day activation.

Millions More UK Homes To Gain Access To Faster Internet

The launch forms part of VodafoneThree’s wider £11 billion investment programme aimed at expanding 5G coverage across the UK.

By combining the Vodafone and Three mobile networks, the company says it can now reach an additional 3.7 million homes that currently do not have access to full fibre broadband.

Vodafone also states that its existing full fibre network already reaches 23.2 million homes, making it the UK’s largest full fibre broadband provider.

Flexible Contracts And Vodafone Together Discounts

Vodafone is offering customers two contract options for its new 5G Broadband service:

  • 24-month plans starting from £21 per month for speeds up to 50Mbps
  • 30-day rolling contracts starting from £30 per month

Existing Vodafone mobile customers can also save £2 per month through the company’s Vodafone Together bundle.

For customers living in areas where indoor 5G coverage is weaker, Vodafone confirmed that it will soon introduce an outdoor hub system. The device will connect to the strongest available 5G signal outside the property before routing the connection indoors through Vodafone’s Power Hub router.

The company says this will help improve broadband reliability in rural and hard-to-reach areas.

Vodafone Introduces New Broadband Availability Checker

Alongside the launch, Vodafone has also introduced a new integrated broadband availability checker on its website.

The tool allows customers to enter their postcode and instantly compare whether full fibre or 5G Broadband would provide the fastest connection in their area.

According to Vodafone, the goal is to simplify the broadband buying process and help customers choose the best connectivity option available locally.

VodafoneThree Targets Nationwide 5G Expansion

Rob Winterschladen, Consumer Director at VodafoneThree, said the company wants to provide customers with more choice and better value amid growing frustrations around slow broadband speeds.

He said millions of UK households are still paying high prices for unreliable connections that often fail to deliver modern internet demands.

VodafoneThree says its long-term target is to achieve 99% UK population coverage for 5G Standalone by 2030, increasing further to 99.96% by 2034.
