Truffle or Jalapeno Honey? Hot Dogs Get VIP Treatment at Lucky Franks

Lucky Franks has landed at Kill the Cat in Spitalfields Market, giving the classic hot dog a deliciously stylish glow-up. With chef-led toppings like truffle mayo and oyster mushrooms, or Nashville hot honey with jalapeño relish, this isn’t your usual street snack. And to mark National Hot Dog Day on 16th July, the first 100 dogs served will be just £1.

These imaginative hot dogs are loaded with creative flavours. While the O.G. stays loyal to the format with yellow mustard, ketchup and crispy onions, the Pizza Dog throws on spicy tomato pizza sauce and mozzarella for an Italian-inspired touch. The Hot Dang! turns up the heat with jalapeño relish, Nashville hot honey and onion rings, while the High Rolla adds truffle mayo, truffle oil, and oyster mushrooms for an indulgent treat.

These sausages go well beyond the usual processed snack, made locally by Perry’s Butchers, a well-loved East London specialist. They are made up of free-range pork shoulder triple ground for texture, smoked and seasoned with a chef-designed blend, and then encased in natural skin for that essential snap. The recipes were developed by chef Sebastian Cooke, whose background in fine dining and cult street food spots makes him the perfect leader to reinvent and elevate this fast food favourite.

To celebrate National Hot Dog Day, on Tuesday 16th July, the first 100 visitors will get their hands on a Lucky Frank for just £1. The offer is walk-in only and first come, first served. After that, it’s business as usual with the full menu available all day.

Lucky Franks is the creation of chef Sebastian Cooke and Kill the Cat founders Wes Anson and Phil Curl, born from a mission to find the ultimate beer snack. Now a fully-fledged concept, it’s served in the heart of Spitalfields at Kill the Cat, a bar known for its playful, accessible approach to craft beer and more than 100 brews arranged by curiosity level. With retro New York flair, East London grit, and a menu that feels right at home alongside the perfectly poured pints, this is a worthy stop for beer fans, hot dog lovers, and foodies alike.
