Summer might be coming to an end, but spooky season is officially on the horizon. Thorpe Park is turning up the fear factor for 2026 as its hugely popular Fright Nights event celebrates 25 years of scares with a brand-new attraction.
The biggest addition this year is Tenement, Thorpe Park’s first fully immersive, pitch-black scare maze. Rather than relying on traditional lighting and elaborate sets to guide guests through the experience, Tenement will leave visitors almost completely in the dark, armed with nothing more than a failing shared handheld light.
Fright Nights 2026 takes place on selected dates between 2 October and 1 November 2026, with the park transforming after dark into a Halloween playground filled with scare mazes, terrifying characters, live entertainment and some of the UK’s biggest rollercoasters.
Thorpe Park’s New Tenement Scare Maze
The new Tenement experience is set inside an abandoned building where the power has failed, the tenants have disappeared and something is lurking in the darkness.
Guests will have to navigate the maze using a shared handheld light that gradually begins to fail. As visibility disappears, visitors will encounter reflections, illusions and sensory scares designed to leave them questioning what is actually around them.
The concept plays directly on one of humanity’s most instinctive fears: the fear of the dark.
According to Thorpe Park Vice President Ruth Storey, Tenement is designed to challenge visitors by making them confront the things they cannot see.
“This time, we’re playing on one of our most instinctive fears – the fear of the dark.”
The result could make Tenement one of the most intense additions to Fright Nights yet.
Four Fright Nights Scare Mazes Return
Tenement isn’t the only horror experience coming to Thorpe Park this Halloween.
The event’s existing scare maze line-up will return, with Trailers, Stitches, Survival Games and DeadBeat all featuring as part of the 2026 Fright Nights experience.
Trailers
Trailers returns with a new screening, Blood Red Roses, where horror-inspired nightmares are brought to life inside SuperSpark Cinema.
Stitches
Over at Stitches, guests will enter Howell’s Toy Emporium, where new toys are waiting to become part of a creepy collection.
Survival Games
Survival Games throws visitors into a constantly shifting labyrinth filled with assassins, traps and brutal obstacles. The maze is rated 15, making it one of the most intense experiences on the Fright Nights line-up.
DeadBeat
Meanwhile, DeadBeat takes guests underground into a sinister nightclub where the music is loud, the atmosphere is darker and the creatures lurking in the shadows are ready to join the party.
The four returning mazes are included with Thorpe Park’s Fright Nights entry and scare maze package, while the new 2026 scare maze is sold separately.
Scare Zones and Live Entertainment
Beyond the mazes, Fright Nights 2026 will feature a selection of scare zones and live shows across the park.
Purgatory Town returns as Thorpe Park’s first speak-to-scare zone, with new inhabitants wandering the streets and attempting to tell their stories to unsuspecting visitors.
Lucifer’s Lair will once again bring the Lord of Darkness to the park, while The Crows leave Mawkin Meadow behind to spread their sinister presence across Thorpe Park.
The Creature Campus: Reunion Reckoning live show will also return, reigniting old rivalries between its supernatural characters.
New for 2026 is the Rebel Ball, sponsored by Fanta, which will take over The Launch Pad with music, dancing and fire performances.

Ride Hyperia and Thorpe Park’s Biggest Coasters in the Dark
For anyone who prefers their Halloween scares with a serious dose of adrenaline, Fright Nights also gives visitors the chance to experience some of Thorpe Park’s biggest rides after sunset.
The line-up includes Hyperia, THE SWARM, SAW – The Ride, Stealth and Nemesis Inferno.
Hyperia is particularly impressive after dark, with the UK’s tallest rollercoaster taking riders through its huge drops and airtime without the usual daylight views.
SAW – The Ride is another obvious choice for horror fans, combining a terrifying rollercoaster with its infamous horror-themed setting.

When Is Thorpe Park Fright Nights 2026?
Thorpe Park Fright Nights 2026 will run on selected dates from 2 October until 1 November 2026.
The currently advertised dates are:
- 2–4 October
- 9–11 October
- 15 October–1 November
The event is recommended for guests aged 13+, while Survival Games is rated 15.
How Much Are Thorpe Park Fright Nights Tickets?
Fright Nights tickets currently start from £39 per person when booked online, compared with a £66 walk-up price.
Visitors wanting access to the four returning scare mazes can purchase a Fright Nights Entry + Scare Mazes ticket from £71 online, with walk-up prices starting from £98.
Thorpe Park recommends booking in advance, with popular dates expected to sell out.

For those who don’t want the horror to end when the park closes, Thorpe Park is also offering Fright Nights short breaks from £109 per person.
Packages include two days of park entry, an overnight stay at the Thorpe Shark Cabins or a nearby Surrey hotel, and breakfast. Guests staying at the Thorpe Shark Cabins can also receive additional perks including first-hour Fastrack on day two and free parking.
