The Grand Tour has officially entered its next chapter, with new presenters Francis Bourgeois, James Engelsman and Thomas Holland attending the world premiere of the new Prime Video series in London.
The next generation of The Grand Tour has officially arrived.
Francis Bourgeois, James Engelsman and Thomas Holland stepped into the spotlight at the world premiere of the motoring series in London on 2 September, ahead of its global launch on Prime Video on Friday 4 September.
The trio were joined by the show’s much-loved former presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond, who attended the premiere to show their support for the new presenting team.
A New Generation of The Grand Tour
The new series promises to retain the adventurous spirit, spectacular cars and chaotic chemistry that audiences have come to expect from The Grand Tour, while introducing a new trio behind the wheel.
Bourgeois, Engelsman and Holland will take on some of the world’s most challenging landscapes as they explore different corners of the global motoring scene and put some of the latest performance cars through their paces.
The first episode was screened exclusively for guests aboard a cinema truck at the London premiere, giving attendees an early look at the new era of the show.
From testing cars to tackling extreme environments, the new presenters are set to take the format in a fresh direction – without losing its trademark sense of adventure.
From Angola to Malaysia and California
The upcoming series will see the presenters travel across the globe, taking on a range of unconventional automotive challenges.
Among the highlights is a journey across the Angolan desert in track cars, before the trio explore Malaysia and its vibrant car culture.
The series will then head to California, where Bourgeois, Engelsman and Holland will get behind the wheel of cutting-edge performance cars.
The result is set to be a mix of global adventure, automotive experimentation and plenty of disagreements along the way.
The Grand Tour’s Former Hosts Show Their Support
The London premiere also brought together the new and previous generations of The Grand Tour.
Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond attended the event ahead of the new series, marking a passing of the torch moment for one of Prime Video’s best-known motoring franchises.
Executive producers Alex Renton, Nia Yemoh and Phil Churchward were also in attendance.
The new series aims to build on the show’s established formula while introducing a new perspective through Bourgeois, Engelsman and Holland.
