Netflix is officially redefining Christmas Day entertainment. This festive season, the streaming giant will deliver a halftime show like no other, with Snoop Dogg set to headline Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party during the NFL Christmas Gameday on 25 December, live from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Minnesota Vikings will face off against the Detroit Lions in one of the day’s marquee matchups, but when the clock hits halftime, all eyes will be on the Doggfather as he brings music, holiday spirit and star power to one of the biggest stages in American sport.
Snoop Dogg Brings Holiday Heat to the NFL
Taking centre stage at halftime, Snoop Dogg promises a performance packed with chart-topping hits, festive energy and special guests, marking another major moment in Netflix’s growing relationship with live sports and culture-driven events.
Speaking about the performance, Snoop Dogg said:
“NFL, Netflix and your uncle Snoop on Christmas Day? We’re servin’ up music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy. That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”
Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, added:
“Christmas Gameday just got a whole lot cooler. We’re uniting two global cultural juggernauts, the NFL and the one and only Snoop Dogg, who will drop the hottest halftime show.”
Netflix has also released a teaser announcement video for the event, narrated by legendary funk pioneer George Clinton, further cementing the cultural weight behind this Christmas Day spectacle.
NFL Christmas Gameday Returns to Netflix
Following the success of its debut last year, NFL Christmas Gameday returns to Netflix in 2025 with two high-profile NFC rivalry games streaming live exclusively on the platform.
The full Christmas Day schedule includes:
-
Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Commanders at 1pm ET, live from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland
-
Detroit Lions vs Minnesota Vikings at 4:30pm ET, live from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis
Pregame coverage begins at 11am ET, with CBS Sports producing the games and NFL Media handling pregame, halftime and postgame programming. The broadcasts will also air on CBS affiliates in competing team cities and be available on U.S. mobile devices via NFL+.
Last year, Netflix launched its Christmas Day tradition with Beyoncé’s halftime performance during the Ravens–Texans game, dubbed the Beyoncé Bowl, setting a high bar for music-led sports moments. You can read more about standout live performances in our music coverage.
Festive Touches on the Field
Continuing a tradition introduced in 2024, every team playing on Christmas Day will wear a holiday-inspired jersey patch during both their Week 16 and Christmas Day games. The design features the NFL shield backed by two candy canes, capturing the festive spirit of football during the holiday season.
Snoop Dogg: A Cultural Icon Still Making History
Few artists have had a career as expansive and influential as Snoop Dogg. A multi-platinum rapper, producer, actor and entrepreneur, Snoop has released 21 studio albums, sold over 40 million records worldwide, and earned 20 Grammy Award nominations across nearly three decades in music.
In 2025, he was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People and entered a multi-year deal with NBCUniversal, further expanding his creative empire through Death Row Pictures. He also returned as a coach on NBC’s The Voice and starred in the network’s coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics, becoming a surprise fan favourite throughout the Games.
His latest album, Iz It a Crime?, released in May 2025, features collaborations with Pharrell, Battlecat and Sexyy Red and marks his most recent release under Death Row Records, the legendary label he acquired in 2022.
Beyond music and entertainment, Snoop continues to give back through the Snoop Youth Football League, which has helped more than 40 young athletes reach the NFL, while also supporting children with disabilities through its Special Stars initiative.
