RED BULL BC ONE CYPHER UK 2026 WINNERS CROWNED AS B-BOY SHEKU AND B-GIRL STEFANI HEAD TO WORLD FINAL!

The UK breaking scene reached new heights on April 11 as B-Boy Sheku and B-Girl Stefani were crowned champions at the Red Bull BC One Cypher UK 2026. Held at London’s iconic Shoreditch Town Hall, the sold-out event brought together the nation’s top breakers for one of the most prestigious competitions in the global hip-hop calendar.

Both winners will now go on to represent the UK at the Red Bull BC One World Final in Toronto, Canada, on November 29, 2026 — a global stage where the best b-boys and b-girls compete for ultimate glory.

A Dominant Return for B-Boy Sheku

B-Boy Sheku secured his fourth national title, successfully defending his 2025 win in style. Facing Newcastle’s rising talent B-Boy Gribz in the final, Sheku delivered a masterclass performance, showcasing his signature fluid, thread-like movements and unmatched musicality.

Gribz impressed throughout the competition, notably defeating former champion B-Boy Cri6 in the semi-finals, but ultimately couldn’t overcome Sheku’s experience and precision.

Speaking after his win, Sheku offered simple but powerful advice to aspiring breakers:

“You’ve got to be obsessed. Never stop watching breaking and just go for it!”

B-Girl Stefani Claims Third Title

In the women’s competition, B-Girl Stefani emerged victorious after a fierce final battle against Leeds-based B-Girl Munirat. The contest highlighted the depth of talent in the UK’s b-girl scene, with both competitors bringing years of experience and individuality to the floor.

Munirat, known for challenging gender stereotypes in breaking, delivered a strong performance after defeating B-Girl Qiu Qiu in the semi-finals. However, Stefani’s technical skill, style, and stage presence proved decisive.

A 2024 Olympian and seasoned competitor, Stefani reflected on her journey:

“After more than 16 years of breaking, I feel like I’m now one of the best in the world… Breaking is not all about power moves; it’s a style, an expression of yourself, no matter what age you are.”

Electric Atmosphere and Live Performances

The night wasn’t just about battles. UK grime artist Novelist delivered a high-energy halftime performance, celebrating his connection to the breaking scene. His 2024 track See You Move marked the 20th anniversary of Red Bull BC One and paid tribute to the culture’s global impact.

Hosting duties were handled by Kiss FM presenter Ellie Prohan and Swifty, who kept the energy high throughout the evening, hyping the crowd and maintaining momentum between rounds.
