MARKET PLACE FOOD HALL VAUXHALL BRINGS BACK FREE DOG MENU FOR NATIONAL DOG DAY

London’s four-legged foodies can enjoy free tacos, pizza, steak, poke bowls and even a dog-friendly Sunday roast from 24–28 August.

Dog lovers, rejoice. Market Place Food Hall Vauxhall is celebrating National Dog Day 2026 by bringing back its popular dog-friendly food hall takeover, giving pups the chance to enjoy a meal out completely free.

Running from Monday 24 August to Friday 28 August, the special menu will see Market Place’s independent traders put a canine twist on some of their signature dishes. Even better, every dog visiting with their owner can claim one complimentary dog-friendly dish or drink when their human purchases any food or drink from a participating trader or the bar.

With National Dog Day falling on Wednesday 26 August, the initiative is set to give London’s four-legged foodies plenty of reason to head to Vauxhall this summer.

A Food Hall Menu Made for Dogs

The limited-edition menu has been created by Market Place Food Hall’s independent traders and bar team, offering everything from miniature steak dinners and chicken tacos to poke bowls and pizza.

Dog-friendly options include:

  • Doggy Guinness – savoury doggy bone broth topped with whipped cream
  • A-paw-rol Spritz – carrot juice, coconut water and an orange garnish
  • Pawsome Poke from Inamo Sukoshi – plain rice with salmon and sprats
  • Pug-lia Pizza from Made in Puglia – cheese and tomato topped with salami
  • Steak & Fur-ies from Argentinian Grill – mini steak pieces with fresh fries
  • Yorkie-shire Pudding from Yorkshire Burrito – fresh meat with traditional Sunday roast vegetables
  • The Wagging Duck from Duck Shed – fresh pieces of duck
  • Bark Bowl from Farmhouse Kebab – chicken served with rice
  • Taco ‘Bout a Good Boy from Streat Latin – chicken tacos
  • Woofles & Noodles from Thai House – egg noodles with chicken

Whether your pup is more interested in a faux stout, a salmon poke bowl or a miniature Sunday roast, there’s a whole menu of treats to choose from.

Free Dog Food in London This National Dog Day

The promotion is part of Market Place Food Hall’s wider pet-friendly approach, with the venue aiming to create an experience where dogs can join their owners rather than being left at home.

Holly Hilton, Managing Director at Market Place Food Hall, said:

“Creating an all inclusive, experience-led food hall is at the centre of the Market Place brand, and that includes the loyal companions who visit alongside our guests.”

She added that the National Dog Day menu has been designed to give dogs their own versions of dishes available to their owners, while maintaining the variety and creativity associated with the food hall.

The initiative comes as British dog owners continue to spend heavily on their pets. According to figures cited by Market Place Food Hall, the average dog owner spends around £2,101 a year on their pooch.

For five days in August, however, Market Place is picking up the bill.

A Dog-Friendly Day Out in Vauxhall

Market Place Food Hall has grown into a collection of food halls and bars across London, bringing independent traders and international cuisines together under one roof.

Its venues span St Paul’s, Vauxhall, Harrow, Peckham and Leicester Square, with a new location at Victoria Place Shopping Centre scheduled to open in September 2026.

The food halls combine street food, drinks, entertainment and events, with dog-friendly spaces making them suitable for visitors who don’t want to leave their four-legged companions behind.

For National Dog Day, that pet-friendly approach is being taken one step further — by giving dogs their own restaurant menu.

So, if your dog has been begging for a seat at the dinner table, 24–28 August could be the perfect time to treat them to dinner in London.
