Ivan Ramen is reopening its Farringdon restaurant on 22nd June with an updated tachigui-style concept, inspired by the quick and efficient service model found in traditional Japanese ramen shops. To celebrate the relaunch, diners will be able to claim 2-for-1 on selected signature ramen bowls between 12pm and 4pm throughout opening week.
For superfans of the restaurant, a visit during the initial reopening period will be at the top of their dining priorities, as Ivan Ramen will be rewarding guests who drop in once a week during the first six weeks with the opportunity to secure a Black Card, unlocking 20% off for the remainder of the year.
The introduction of the new ordering style will bring the London restaurant closer to the format commonly found across Japan, where guests order, pay, and collect in a single interaction. Designed around speed and convenience, the format makes it easier to drop in for lunch, a quick dinner, or a solo meal without sacrificing the quality that helped establish the brand’s following.
Included in the 2-for-1 deal is the Signature Shoyu and Veggie Truffle bowls – but for those looking to expand their order, there is plenty more on the menu that’s certainly worthy ofattention. Small plates such as Ivan’s Karaage with yuzu kosho mayo and the Salt Beef Bun with dill pickles and karashi mayo are perfect meal-openers, while the fan-favourite Tonkotsu serves up rich pork broth with shoyu-braised pork chashu, woodear mushrooms, pickled mustard greens, soft egg, mayu, and spring onions.
The restaurant is the creation of Ivan Orkin, the American chef who built an unlikely career as a ramen specialist in Tokyo before expanding internationally. Following acclaimed openings in Japan, New York, and Las Vegas, the London restaurant opened in Farringdon in late 2025. The intimate space combines Japanese influences with nods to New York, while the open kitchen keeps the focus on quality and authenticity of the ramen itself.
