BEECHDEAN EXPANDS SIDES ICE CREAM WITH NEW IMPULSE RANGE FOLLOWING UNPRECEDENTED CUSTOMER DEMAND

Following exceptional demand from consumers for its popular SIDES ice cream, Beechdean has launched a new impulse range.

The new range includes cones, sticks and ice cream cookies, with two new flavours also launched. The exciting new Marshmallow Cake and Chocolate Brownie Fudge Cake flavours will be released in 110ml on-the-go tubs, with Rocky Road and Marshmallow Cake coming in 500ml options.

This comes hot on the heels of SIDES core offering being launched into retail in February, with the Cookie Dough Core, Chocolate Millionaire’s, Salted Caramel Cake, and Chocolate Brownie Fudge Cake flavours flying off the shelves of Iceland.

Beechdean has now expanded the range, produced in collaboration with the British YouTube collective, the Sidemen, to include even more irresistible options, just in time for UK summer.

Beechdean’s partnership with the Sidemen continues to bring an exciting edge to the UK ice cream market, tapping into the creators’ massive fanbase and passion for great-tasting products.

The SIDES ice cream range was an instant hit after debuting in SIDES restaurants in December and launching into retail in February. The expanded SIDES ice cream impulse range is now available nationwide through wholesalers ConsortBrakes, and Eden Farm.

The new impulse range will include the following exciting flavours:

  • Marshmallow Cake (500ml)
  • Rocky Road (500ml)
  • Marshmallow Cake (110ml)
  • Chocolate Brownie Fudge Cake (110ml)
  • American Style Cookie (500ml)
  • Cookies & Cream Cookie (500ml)
  • Sidesbon (500ml)
  • Stracciatella Stick (110ml)
  • Chocolate & Vanilla Cone (110ml) – Available from late April
  • Salted Caramel Cone (110ml) – Available from late April

The ice cream is made by Beechdean exclusively for the Sidemen at its purpose-built Cheshire based Ice Cream manufacturing facility. Beechdean has been producing high-quality dairy ice cream since 1989, becoming one of the UK’s leading ice cream manufacturers.

Andrew Howard, Beechdean Co-Founder and Managing Director said“The demand for SIDES ice cream has been off the charts. With the Sidemen leading the charge, we’ve seen an energy and excitement around the brand that is unmatched in the UK market. This new range of impulse products will help us meet that demand and deliver even more delicious options for ice cream lovers.”

The family-run ice cream factory based near Chester is the largest family-owned ice cream manufacturer in the country.

SIDES ice cream is the latest in a long run of premium products for Beechdean, whose luxury ice creams have been served up at The Royal Albert Hall, Cunard Cruises, and top retailers, as well as being supplied to a range of top-class restaurants, leisure sites and premier distributors across the UK.

Gordon McDermott, SIDES’ Food Director, said“We’ve been overwhelmed by the reaction to SIDES ice cream in our restaurants, where fans were buying tubs by the dozen and taking them home to enjoy, and now we’ve seen retail take off with similar gusto. This range expansion is the next step in bringing our unique ice creams to the public, and we can’t wait to see it become a household favourite.”

“Beechdean has been amazing. Only they could keep up with the staggering demand of our fans. You can’t buy Marshmallow Cake ice cream anywhere else, and we can’t wait to watch this brand grow and match the success we’ve seen with our other brands.”

British YouTube collective the Sidemen is made up of influencers and internet personalities including KSI, Miniminter, Zerkaa, TBJZL, Behzinga, Vikkstar123, and W2S, and their other FMCG brands include premium vodka brand, XIX, and breakfast favourite, BEST Cereal.
