German Doner Kebab (GDK) is continuing its UK expansion with a brand-new restaurant set to open in Elephant & Castle this autumn. Located on Walworth Road, the new site promises to bring GDK’s premium kebab experience to one of South London’s most vibrant, fast-developing neighbourhoods.
Known for redefining the kebab, GDK combines high-quality halal meats, crisp locally sourced salads, handmade sauces, and its iconic toasted sesame waffle bread — creating a fast-casual dining experience that’s both modern and full of flavour.
The Elephant & Castle restaurant will be ideally placed at the heart of the area’s massive regeneration project, surrounded by students, commuters, and locals looking for bold, flavour-packed meals that don’t compromise on freshness.

OG Kebab: Your choice of doner meat with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and red cabbage, served in signature toasted sesame waffle bread and three sauces.

OV Kebab: A plant-based twist on the classic, made with soya protein infused with GDK’s doner spice blend.

Boss Boxes: Your choice of main with fries or hash brown bites, plus sides like Spring Rolls or Chilli Cheese Bites and a drink.

Sweet Treats: The indulgent Chocolate Waffle Bread and Berliner Doughnut Bites for dessert lovers.
Located at 256-260 Walworth Road, SE17 1JE, the restaurant is set to open in autumn 2025, offering locals a taste of what GDK calls “Kebabs. Done Right.”
