Boursin is teaming up with FoodCycle to host a festive two-day pop-up in Shoreditch, pairing culinary creativity with a meaningful cause to offer guests a chance to enjoy a four-course Christmas feast for just £5. Curated by celebrity chef Jon Watts, the Boursin-based menu showcases inventive dishes while supporting FoodCycle’s mission to combat hunger and loneliness, challenges that are often heightened during the holiday season.
Hosted at Fare in Old Street on November 30th and December 1st, the menu will feature modern twists on holiday classics like cranberry and chestnut bruschetta and velvety Boursin-infused risotto, showcasing the creamy versatility of Boursin Cheese in dishes before finishing with a luxurious variety Boursin cheeseboard to round off the feast.
At the heart of the Care-staurant is a partnership with FoodCycle, a charity dedicated to combating hunger and social isolation by repurposing surplus food into nutritious meals. For every £5 donation from a diner, Boursin will be triple the contribution, ensuring even greater impact. Over the past two years, Boursin has donated the equivalent of 19,000 hot meals, making a tangible difference in communities nationwide. FoodCycle not only provides meals but fosters connection, dignity, and hope, with 92% of their guests feeling happier and 84% less lonely after attending their community meals.
By booking a spot at this pop-up, visitors are directly supporting FoodCycle’s mission. Their £5 donation will go beyond the table, helping the charity address the rising demand for their services, which have surged by 57% this year. With initiatives like this, FoodCycle is able to serve almost 3,500 meals weekly across 100 projects in the UK, creating a brighter holiday season for those in need.
This festive dining event is a chance to savour delicious food, support a worthwhile cause, and make a notable difference during the season of giving. Reserve your spot now to experience a meal that nourishes both palate and soul, while helping to fight hunger and loneliness this Christmas.
