Notting Hill Welcomes Dal Fiorentino and Its Famous Schiacciata

Dal Fiorentino has brought its famous Italian sandwich concept to Notting Hill – and the crowds have been queuing around the block for a taste. Now open on renowned hotspot Westbourne Grove, this is the fifth site for the shop, serving what is widely considered the best and most authentic Schiacciata in the capital. For locals, it’s already a hit; for visitors, it has firmly earned a place on the map as a must-visit stop while exploring the likes of Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, and Portobello Market that are just a stone’s throw away.

Founded in 2022 by husband-and-wife team Andrei and Cristina, Dal Fiorentino was created to bring the authentic flavours of Florence to London. The Notting Hill branch joins its sisters in Hoxton, Fitzrovia, Holborn, and Brick Lane, each celebrated for their freshly baked Schiacciata and best-in-class Italian ingredients. Every sandwich is prepared to order, with fillings ranging from buffalo mozzarella to San Marzano tomatoes, top tier Parma ham, and fresh homemade pesto.

The menu offers more than fifteen irresistible choices for meat lovers, vegetarians, and vegans alike. The GINEVRA is a fan favourite, combining buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, and ripe tomatoes for a light, classic taste of Italy. For vegetarians, the rich IL MAGNIFICO includes whole burrata, pistachio pesto, grilled courgettes, and peppery rocket. Vegan diners are well catered for too, with the GIOTTO serving up black olive spread, tomatoes, and basil.

Portions at Dal Fiorentino echo the generosity the Mediterranean is known for, with sandwiches literally overflowing with high-quality, fresh ingredients. Our menu highlights include the DA VINCI, oozing with springtime freshness with mortadella, a whole burrata, pistachio pesto, and extra virgin olive oil, and the signature LA FIORENTINA, layered with fennel salami, pecorino cheese, truffle honey, and extra virgin olive oil for one of the most indulgent choices on the menu.

If you’re not local to one of the five locations, Dal Fiorentino is one that’s well worth travelling for. It’s fresh, flavourful, and faultlessly crafted – and as far as sandwich shops go in London, it undoubtedly operates in a league of its own.

Dal Fiorentino’s newest opening in Notting Hill can be found at 38 Westbourne Grove, W2 5SH. You can browse the menus, find your closest store, and explore the catering options right here.
