Following two consecutive years of sold out festivals, Ben & Jerry’s reveals this year’s sweetest event, ‘Sundaes in the Park’ will be coming to London. On Saturday 27th July, the whipped top stage is heading to Chiswick House for a day of fun, with a lineup of live music, cabaret, and a Game Zone featuring larger than life, ice cream inspired games
Shingai, vocalist and bassist from Noisettes, will be headlining the main stage, with supporting performances from some of this summer’s coolest artists including, ADMT, Mungos Hi-Fi, Cuban Brothers, London Afrobeat Collective, Cousin Kula, Casey Sana hosted by Guilty Pleasures.
Anyone who has been to a Ben & Jerry’s festival knows that More is S’more, so alongside the main stage, The Live & Local / Cabaret stage will host vintage theatre acts and cabaret performances, with talent to be announced, so stay spooned.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. At the Ben & Jerry’s Scoop-tacular Games Zone, fanswill be able to dive into larger than life ice cream inspired games, including Cowtapult and Hook the Spoon.
At the brand new S’moreground, ice cream lovers can make their very own S’more – an iconic American dessert made by toasting a gooey marshmallow over an open campfire and sandwiching it with a piece of chocolate between two cookies; the inspiration behind Ben & Jerry’s two brand new flavours. While enjoying their DIY treat in the campground inspired area, fans can sit back, relax and listen to talks throughout the day.
While enjoying the tub loads of entertainment, Sundaes in the Park festival goers will of course be able to dig into more free ice cream than they can shake a spoon at, including this year’s newest s’mores inspired flavours:
- Marshmallow & S’more: Chocolate ice cream jam packed with chocolate cookie dough chunks and gooey marshmallow swirls, topped with a creamy whipped ice cream, toasted marshmallow caramel swirls and popping candy traceable sourced Open Chain chocolatey chunks.
- Oat of this Swirled: Burnt sugar Non-Dairy ice cream loaded with oat cinnamon cookies and toasty marshmallowy caramel swirls, topped with a soft whipped top and Open Chain chocolatey chunks
No Ben & Jerry’s event would be complete without its Social Mission tent – a dedicated space where guests can find out more about its charity partners advocating for refugee rights.
This year, Ben & Jerry’s will be supporting refugee charities from across the UK, including Rainbow Migration, Babylon Migrants Project, Art Refuge and Conversations Across Borders. Several of these partners will be running activities and craft sessions, including kite making, language workshops and community centred exercises, designed to facilitate conversation and educate about their work to support refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK.
Victoria Witter, Brand Manager (aka DJ Chunky Beats) at Ben & Jerry’s comments:
“After first introducing our Sundaes festivals Sundaes on the Common in Clapham many moons ago, we’re so excited to be bringing our festival back to London! This year we’re bringing the capital a fun-filled day of non-stop ice cream and great music, all whilst supporting our incredible charity partners. You’ll find me perfecting the ‘Scoop and Shake’ on the dance floor.”
