WSL Football has announced an innovative new collaboration with Apple, aiming to transform how the women’s game is played, coached, officiated, and experienced — setting a new global standard for performance and equality.
The partnership supports WSL Football’s mission to become the most distinctive, competitive, and entertaining club competition in the world. With Apple’s cutting-edge technology integrated into every level of the game, the collaboration marks a huge leap forward for women’s football.
Levelling the Playing Field with Apple Tech
Clubs and officials across the Barclays Women’s Super League will now be equipped with a full suite of Apple devices — including the MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and AirPods Pro 3. These products will be used for everything from real-time video analysis and player development to matchday administration.
On the sidelines, coaches and analysts will have access to multiple iPads for instant tactical reviews and performance feedback. Match footage will be processed using the MacBook Pro, with communication between analysts and coaches streamlined via AirPods Pro 3 and iPhone 17 Pro.
Meanwhile, match officials will use the iPad Air for digital team sheets and live match reporting, making the entire matchday process faster, smarter, and more efficient.
Driving Equality and Innovation
Zarah Al-Kudcy, Chief Revenue Officer at WSL Football, highlighted the importance of this collaboration:
“At its core, we see this as a collaboration grounded in a shared ambition to drive meaningful transformation. Apple has a remarkable history of revolutionising industries through its products. That spirit of innovation deeply resonates with our aspirations for women’s football.”
She continued, “By leveraging Apple’s world-class technology, we’re empowering teams with tools that can transform on-pitch performance and create a more level playing field across the leagues.”
A Legacy of Sports Innovation
Apple’s influence on professional sports is already well-documented. From Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League to the World Surf League, Apple’s technology has consistently elevated performance analysis, fan engagement, and operational excellence.
Scott Brodrick, Worldwide Product Marketing Manager at Apple, added:
“We are thrilled to be working with WSL Football and to help every player, coach, analyst, and official elevate their game with Apple. Our aim is to enable innovation both on and off the pitch, and by placing our products into the hands of football’s most skilful athletes, we’re excited by what we can collectively achieve for women’s football.”
The Future of the Women’s Game
This collaboration signifies more than just technological advancement — it represents a shift in how women’s football is valued, supported, and showcased. With Apple and WSL Football joining forces, the women’s game is poised for an unprecedented era of growth, accessibility, and innovation.
