ZO Skin Health has reformulated its best-selling serum, Rozatrol, introducing a new plant-derived complex designed to improve visible redness and strengthen the skin barrier. The launch marks an upgrade to the original formula, already widely trusted by dermatologists and known for its efficacy in treating redness-prone and sensitive skin.
ZPOLY, a polysaccharide complex derived from plants, has been added to accelerate barrier repair, provide long-lasting hydration, and reduce signs of premature ageing. It targets the skin’s natural defences while helping to visibly calm inflammation. With regular use, the updated formula helps skin maintain resilience and comfort, even in those with ongoing sensitivity. Combined with Rozatrol’s existing soothing technologies, the new ingredient represents a significant boost in therapeutic efficacy.
The new addition builds on an already effective INCI list. A Redness-Relieving Complex – featuring lactose, milk protein and brassica oleracea extract – helps calm visible redness and reactivity. ZO-RRS2, a proprietary plant stem cell blend, provides antioxidant protection while visibly soothing inflamed skin. Other ingredients include palmitoyl glycine to reduce facial flushing, a microbiome-balancing trio (farnesyl acetate, farnesol, panthenyl triacetate) to help reduce excess surface oil, and papain for gentle enzymatic exfoliation to smooth skin texture.
In a six-week independent clinical study, 82% of users reported visibly soothed and calmed skin. 73% saw a reduction in the appearance of redness, while the same proportion noted overall improvement in rosacea-associated skin concerns. Results indicate strong potential for daily use, particularly in redness-prone or reactive skin types.
