YEO VALLEY ORGANIC LAUNCHES NEW BBQ BURGERS AND ICE CREAMS AHEAD OF NATIONAL BBQ WEEK 2026!

As temperatures begin to rise and the countdown to National BBQ Week 2026 kicks off, Yeo Valley Organic is introducing a fresh line-up of seasonal products designed to elevate summer dining across the UK.

Running from 25 May to 31 May 2026, this year’s National BBQ Week arrives with consumers increasingly seeking higher-quality food choices that combine flavour, sustainability and transparency. In response, Britain’s leading organic dairy brand is expanding its summer range with new organic burgers and indulgent ice creams made using British ingredients and organic farming practices.

Yeo Valley Organic Introduces British Lamb Burgers

The headline addition to the range is Yeo Valley Organic’s new British Lamb Burgers seasoned with garden herbs — claimed to be the only organic lamb burger currently available in British supermarkets.

Made using 100% British free-range organic lamb and a short ingredient list, the burgers aim to appeal to shoppers moving towards a “less but better” approach to food consumption. According to the brand, organic lamb can contain up to 50% more Omega-3 fatty acids compared to some conventional alternatives.

Alongside the new lamb offering, Yeo Valley’s popular Beef Steak Burgers are also returning to Tesco stores for the summer season.

Clinical Nutritionist Eva Humphries explained that consumers are becoming increasingly conscious of ultra-processed foods and artificial additives.

“Made from British, organic, grass-fed beef or lamb, the new range is built on a short list of simple, recognisable ingredients,” she said.

The nutritionist also shared serving inspiration for summer gatherings, including lamb burgers paired with cucumber, mint and Greek-style yogurt, or colourful slaws with harissa dressing for added flavour and texture.

Three New Organic Ice Cream Flavours Launch for Summer

To complement its BBQ range, Yeo Valley Organic is also expanding its dessert offering with three new ice cream flavours:

  • Madagascan Vanilla
  • Summer Berry Ripple
  • Blueberry & Lemon Curd

Made with organic West Country milk and cream sourced from British family farms, the new ice creams contain no artificial flavours and focus on natural ingredients.

The Tesco rollout for the ice cream range will initially be regional, with Madagascan Vanilla and Summer Berry Ripple launching exclusively in Tesco stores across the South and South West of England.

According to Humphries, the move towards simpler ingredient lists is becoming increasingly important to health-conscious shoppers.

“Most mainstream products rely on emulsifiers, gums and modified ingredients to compensate for lower-quality ingredients, but Yeo Valley Organic’s certified organic ice creams tell a reassuringly different story,” she said.

Expert Tips for a Healthier BBQ This Summer

Ahead of National BBQ Week, Eva Humphries also shared several expert tips to help consumers build healthier and more balanced BBQ plates this summer.

Buy Better Quality Over Quantity

Humphries suggests that many households tend to over-cater during BBQ season. Choosing fewer but higher-quality organic meats can help reduce waste while supporting higher welfare farming standards.

Avoid Over-Charring Food

Burnt meat can produce compounds known as heterocyclic amines, which experts recommend limiting where possible. The advice is to aim for a good sear rather than overcooking meats on the grill.

Upgrade BBQ Side Dishes

Colourful salads and nutrient-rich sides can add freshness and balance to summer meals. Suggestions include carrot and red cabbage slaw, beetroot and blueberry salads, and crunchy lettuce with herby yogurt dressing.

Don’t Skip the Dressing

Healthy fats found in salad dressings can help the body absorb nutrients such as Vitamin A and lycopene more effectively.

Social Connection Matters Too

Humphries also highlighted the wider wellbeing benefits of shared meals and social gatherings, pointing to growing evidence linking strong social connections with improved long-term health.
