WSL Football has officially launched a brand-new app designed to bring fans closer than ever to the Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) and Barclays Women’s Super League 2 (WSL2).
Now available to download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the platform aims to become the ultimate digital hub for supporters of women’s football in England—offering exclusive content, real-time match updates, and personalised experiences all in one place.
Built With Fans at Its Core
The app has been developed with direct input from the community. During its beta phase, over 2,000 testers helped shape its features, ensuring it delivers exactly what fans want from a modern football experience.
Among the most requested features were:
- Live match statistics
- Information on where to watch games
- In-game clips
- Match previews
All of these have been integrated into the app’s initial launch version.

The app is set to evolve further, with additional features such as enhanced gamification and new fan-driven tools already in development. Importantly, users will be able to provide ongoing feedback directly within the app, helping shape its future updates.
Ruth Hooper, Chief Marketing Officer at WSL Football, said:
“The launch of the WSL Football app represents the next step for how fans experience the women’s game. Our priority was to create something shaped by the people who love it most, so fans could have everything they want in one place. As we continue to evolve the app, we’ll keep responding to their needs and introduce new features to create the most engaging digital home for our leagues.”
