What to eat now: Yard Sale Pizza & Milk in Balham

Yard Sale Pizza has today a one-off, pop-up event with Balham’s popular Milk cafe. Yard Sale Pizza and Milk, two of Balham’s best-loved independent local spots, are collaborating to bring to life one of the cafe’s most beloved brunch dishes – with a very special pizza available for two nights only. ‘Things can only get feta’ will be topped with roasted butternut squash on a white base, marinated feta, crispy sage, pumpkin seed salt and a cured egg yolk, grated to finish at the table!.

Milk has also developed a delicious starter to kick off the meal and a dessert inspired by their famous banana bread to sweeten the deal. Wild Garlic and Ricotta Doughnuts will be served for starters, followed by the pizza as the main event and finished with a Whipped Halva Butter and Pumpkin Seed Tahini double layered banana cake.

The pop-up event will take place over two days, Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th March at Milk’s Balham location. Each night will feature two sittings, the first at 6:30pm followed by a later dinner from 8:15pm.

The three-course menu will be priced at £30 per person and tickets are available to purchase via Eventbrite here.

In addition to the special edition collaboration pizza, Yard Sale Pizza will also be offering two of their most popular pizzas: TSB (tenderstem broccoli, pine nuts, parmesan, garlic and olive oil) and Holy Pepperoni (pepperoni, gyula pepperoni and spicy nduja sausage). Yard Sale Pizza will also be able to accommodate dietary restrictions and requests to make the pizzas vegan-friendly.

Co-founder and director of Yard Sale Pizza, Nick Buckland, said,

“We love South London and have experienced great success with our Balham location. Milk is a Balham institution and we are delighted to be partnering with them on this exciting pop-up which will give guests an innovative taste of Yard Sale Pizza and Milk.”

Ryan Steenson, General Manager at Milk added:

“We love Yard Sale Pizza and found their Balham opening to be a welcome addition to the area. We’re delighted to be partnering with them for this one of a kind collaboration.”
