In celebration of summer PizzaExpress is introducing two seasonal specials with a citrus twist. For a limited time only, the La Cubana pizza topped with lime and Pizza Pal Float including lime and basil sorbet are set to be hits with customers looking for a taste of the season.
Firstly, bringing a touch of Havana to PizzaExpress and named by PizzaExpress customers is the La Cubana pizza. The pizza features succulent Cuban pulled pork and roasted peppers, topped with a sprinkle of tomato, red onion, fresh coriander and a wedge of lime. As with all PizzaExpress pizzas, the La Cubana sits on a base made at PizzaExpress’ own bakery in Oxfordshire, which is then kneaded by Pizzaiolos (pizza chefs) at each restaurant. Each base is then topped with a delicious passata made from 100 per cent Italian tomatoes.
To accompany the flavour sensation that is the La Cubana pizza, PizzaExpress has zested up its drinks offering for the summer, with customers invited to take a refreshing sip of the unique Pizza Pal Float: a fun combination of the PizzaExpress Pizza Pal, a fruity pale ale with notes of citrus and grapefruit brewed locally in the United Kingdom, poured over a scoop of lime and basil sorbet.
