Inspired by the stage production “Swan Lake,” the movie “Black Swan” follows Nina Sayers, a ballerina with the New York City Ballet Company, who lives with her overbearing and envious mother, Erica. Overall, “Black Swan” is dismal, but we must embrace that depression if we are to genuinely grasp who we are, and, to borrow the current phrase from the group, if we are to find our soul.
