TEKKEN is one of the most influential and legendary video games of all time. Originally developed for arcades, the series was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2017 for having the “longest-running consistent video game universe” and “longest-running video game storyline.”
It has now been a long seven years since the last instalment of the TEKKEN series, and we are thrilled to see its return.
TEKKEN 8 is the most recent in Bandai Namco’s lengthy history of well-known fighting games. This time, it has a brand-new heat system in addition to many other gameplay elements. One of the four game mechanisms of the Battle Concept is the heat system, along with the rage system, recoverable gauge, and controller-style controls.
When an attacker uses the idea of being aggressive, the Heat System is by far their most advantageous tool. With the help of the Heat System, the user can initiate offensive strategies and enter a state of awakening and augmentation for a certain amount of time.
When the Heat Condition is activated, the character enters the heat condition and is enveloped in a blue flame. The heat timer begins to count down and will expire after 10 seconds. By pressing the R1 button, you can turn on the Heat State whenever you want.
Because the Heat Timer pauses when the opponent is struck or blocked, you can keep using the same attack without losing any time. As a result, being proactive provides you an edge; nevertheless, being defensive is useless.
Heat State can be activated in one of two ways: As previously mentioned, the first approach is to initiate the Heat Burst by hitting R1. The next method involves striking the adversary with a “Heat Engager,” which instantly initiates the Heat State. Each character has around five Heat Engager techniques.
