The Chainsmokers have officially released their brand-new EP, LOVE IS KIND, a five-track project created alongside Swedish singer-songwriter Oaks. The emotionally charged release marks a fresh chapter in the duo’s evolving sound, blending cinematic electronic production with intimate storytelling.
The EP is available now via The Chainsmokers official website.
LOVE IS KIND Sees The Chainsmokers Reunite With Oaks
The collaboration reunites Alex Pall and Drew Taggart with Oaks, formerly known as Winona Oak, following their 2018 hit “Hope”. However, LOVE IS KIND takes the partnership in a more personal direction.
Inspired by Oaks’ own real-life love story, the project was crafted around her vocals and emotional perspective, with The Chainsmokers shaping the production to support the narrative rather than overpower it.
Speaking about the EP, the duo explained:
“Winona fell in love since we had last saw her and that has fueled the story behind all these songs. We wanted to keep that story and her mesmerizing voice in the center of this project and build a world around it with the production.”
The pair also revealed they approached the project with one key goal — making every track feel powerful in a live setting while still maintaining emotional depth.
LOVE IS KIND EP Tracklist
The five-track project includes:
- “Echo”
- “Already Know”
- “Five Past Three”
- “Love Is Kind”
- “Wild”
Fans of melodic electronic music and emotionally driven dance-pop are likely to find the EP a natural continuation of The Chainsmokers’ more introspective recent releases.

Their catalogue has surpassed 118 million records sold globally, while “Closer” remains one of the most-streamed songs in Spotify history.
The release of LOVE IS KIND also follows their recent collaboration with John Summit on “All The Time” and the extension of their Las Vegas residency through 2029.
Who Is Oaks?
While many fans will recognise her as Winona Oak, Oaks represents a new electronic-focused era for the Swedish artist.
Known for collaborations with artists including Tiësto, Martin Garrix and Robin Schulz, Oaks is now building a distinct sound rooted in experimental electronic production and emotionally driven songwriting.
According to the artist, the project is designed as a space with “no rules”, combining poetic lyricism with expansive dance music influences.
