The Boys is officially heading toward its final showdown. Prime Video has revealed the epic trailer for Season 5, giving fans their first look at the climactic final chapter of the globally popular superhero satire.
The fifth and final season of the multi-Emmy Award-winning series will premiere 8 April 2026, launching with two episodes, before continuing with weekly releases leading up to the highly anticipated series finale on 20 May 2026. The show will stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The Final Battle Begins
Season 5 raises the stakes higher than ever as the world falls under the influence of the dangerously unstable Homelander.
With the Supe leader tightening his grip on power, the remaining members of The Boys find themselves scattered and desperate. Hughie, Mother’s Milk and Frenchie are imprisoned in a so-called “Freedom Camp,” while Annie struggles to organise a resistance against an overwhelming army of Supes.
Meanwhile, Kimiko has vanished without a trace.
Just when things seem hopeless, Butcher returns with a radical plan — one that involves unleashing a virus capable of wiping out every Supe on Earth. His decision sets off a chain reaction that threatens to reshape the world forever.
With loyalties pushed to their limits and the future of humanity hanging in the balance, Season 5 promises an explosive conclusion to the series that redefined the superhero genre.
From Comic Book Phenomenon to Global TV Hit
The series is based on the New York Times best-selling comic book created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
Television adaptation duties are led by showrunner Eric Kripke, who developed the series for television.
Executive producers also include Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Neal H. Moritz, and Phil Sgriccia among others.
The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios alongside production companies Kripke Enterprises, Original Film and Point Grey Pictures.
