SAM THOMPSON AND PETE WICKS IN THE DORITOS NACHO TABLE CHALLENGE

Doritos has challenged Sam Thompson (Made in Chelsea) and Pete Wicks (The Only Way is Essex) to go head-to-head in a culinary challenge to recreate the Nacho Table TikTok trend. The two created some outlandish recipes using the nacho brand’s new Dippers range of nachos and dips, alongside some wildly unexpected and risqué ingredients.

Pete brought his Masterchef experience to create some controversial yet appetising Full English Breakfast Nachos, a Hotter Than Hot Chili Nachos, as well as Banana Split Nachos as the cherry on top – literally!

Sam, on the other hand, turned himself into a Nacho Table dressed in lobster and caviar

The duo stepped up to the plate to kick off Doritos’ brand-new campaign and promotion #NachoYourWay – challenging Nacho lovers across the nation to create their own unique recipes for a chance to win a £20,000 Grand Prize, and £200 daily.

The comedic duo let their creative self-expression run wild and challenged each other to invent the most unexpected Nacho recipes. In true foodie fashion, Pete experimented with a range of wild flavours as he portioned his table, first bringing the heat with too-hot-to-handle Nachos featuring Naga chillies, Scotch Bonnets and crickets. Then created a surprising-yet-appetising English Breakfast Nacho combo with fried eggs and mushrooms. The final section was dressed as Banana Split Nachos; a sweet and savoury take on the Mexican dish featuring Doritos’ Hint of Lime flavour, decked out with chocolate sauce, whipped cream and cherries.

The only way for Sam to triumph over Pete was by pairing Doritos with the tastiest thing he could think of – himself! Much to Pete’s dismay, Sam physically foiled himself to his table, placing lobster and caviar atop himself, in a nod to his Chelsea roots.

At the heart of each sharing Nacho Table was the delicious Doritos range of tortilla chips including cult-favourite Cool Original, Lightly Salted and Hint of Lime, and dips including Nacho Cheese, Mild Salsa, Sour Cream and Cool Chive.

The pair took part in the challenge to kick off Doritos’ brand-new campaign and promotion #NachoYourWay – challenging Nacho lovers across the nation to create their own unique recipes for a chance to win a £20,000* Grand Prize, and £200 daily – T&Cs apply. Fans wanting to step up to the plate with their own unique twists can share their Nacho recipes on their public Instagram feed using hashtag ‘#NachoYourWay’ and tagging @DoritosUK or upload their picture at www.doritos.co.uk/nachoyourway to be in for a chance of winning.

With my previous cooking experience, Sam didn’t stand a chance. I wasn’t just here to win, I was here to bring the nation the most outrageous Nacho Table they had ever seen. Through some tasty trial and error, I created a masterpiece. Doritos has started this really exciting challenge and I can’t wait to see how the UK puts their own wild spin on nachos.
