Golf fans will soon get an inside look at one of the sport’s most emotional victories as Prime Video prepares to release Rory McIlroy: The Masters Wait, a feature-length documentary chronicling the dramatic journey of Rory McIlroy and his long-awaited triumph at The Masters Tournament.
The film will premiere globally on 30 March, streaming exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. Produced by Everyone Else in association with Firethorn Productions, the documentary captures the emotional and professional journey that ultimately led McIlroy to secure his elusive Masters title in 2025 and complete golf’s prestigious career Grand Slam.
A Moment 14 Years in the Making
In April 2025, on the iconic 18th green at Augusta National Golf Club, McIlroy finally captured the moment he had chased for over a decade.
After a tense playoff against Justin Rose, the decisive putt dropped, and McIlroy fell to his knees in relief and disbelief. The victory didn’t just secure a Masters title — it cemented his place in golf history by completing the career Grand Slam, an achievement reserved for the sport’s most elite players.
