ROKETSU LAUNCHES SAKURA KAPPO MENUS IN LONDON FOR CHERRY BLOSSOM SEASON 2026

Spring has officially arrived in London, and Roketsu is marking the season in style. The high-end Japanese dining destination has unveiled two new Sakura-themed kappo menus, launching from 1 April 2026, alongside the introduction of exclusive outdoor terrace seating.

Inspired by Japan’s iconic cherry blossom season, the new menus offer an immersive culinary journey that blends traditional techniques with seasonal British produce.

A Seasonal Sakura Dining Experience

Guests can choose between two carefully curated tasting menus:

  • Classic Sakura Kappo Menu – £150
  • Prime Sakura Kappo Menu – £200

Both menus celebrate the delicate flavours of spring, with cherry blossom taking centre stage across a range of dishes. Known for its refined approach to kappo-style dining, Roketsu brings artistry and precision to every plate.

Cherry blossom leaf — traditionally salt-pickled for its subtle floral aroma — is infused into standout dishes like king prawn tempura and turbot sushi, adding a fragrant seasonal twist.

The menus highlight a range of elegant, spring-inspired creations, including:

  • Cherry Stone Clam and Bamboo Shoot Soup – a delicate dashi-based broth with steamed clam and seasonal shoots
  • Foie Gras Miso Monaka – layered with strawberry, plum sake jelly and daikon
  • Charcoal-grilled fish of the day, yakitori-style guinea fowl, or premium Japanese wagyu

For those opting for the Prime Sakura Menu, an elevated nigiri course showcases luxurious combinations such as toro with truffle, scallop with caviar, and wagyu sukiyaki gunkan.

A Sweet Taste of Hanami

No cherry blossom celebration is complete without dessert. Both menus conclude with Strawberry Daifuku, a traditional Japanese sweet often enjoyed during hanami (flower viewing). The soft mochi is filled with fresh strawberry, sweet red bean paste, and a modern twist of matcha mascarpone.
