Music legend Paul McCartney has announced a special one-night-only event in London where fans will get an intimate look inside the making of his acclaimed new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane.
Taking place at the iconic Roundhouse on 10 June, the evening will see McCartney reflect on the creative journey behind what many are calling his most personal and introspective record to date. According to event organisers, the former Beatle will share stories from the album’s development, from his first meeting with producer Andrew Watt in 2021 through to the songwriting process, recording sessions, artwork creation and the album’s release.
An Intimate Look at the Making of The Boys of Dungeon Lane
Fans attending the event can expect more than a standard Q&A. McCartney will offer a rare first-hand account of how the album evolved over five years, accompanied by playback of tracks from the record as he recounts the stories behind them. One of the most anticipated talking points is his collaboration with Ringo Starr, marking the pair’s first duet on record.
The event follows a series of exclusive listening sessions hosted by McCartney in both London and Los Angeles ahead of the album’s release.
Paul McCartney’s Most Personal Album Yet
Released on 29 May, The Boys of Dungeon Lane is McCartney’s first solo studio album in more than five years and has already generated significant discussion among critics and fans alike. The record explores deeply personal themes, revisiting his childhood in post-war Liverpool and the experiences that shaped one of the most influential careers in music history.
Across the album, McCartney reflects on family, friendship and the formative years spent alongside future Beatles bandmates John Lennon and George Harrison long before Beatlemania changed the world. The collection combines nostalgic storytelling with newly inspired love songs, offering listeners a candid glimpse into the experiences that defined his life.
The album was co-produced by Andrew Watt and recorded between 2021 and 2025, with sessions taking place in both the UK and the United States.

Why The Boys of Dungeon Lane Matters
Few artists can claim a career as influential as Paul McCartney’s, yet The Boys of Dungeon Lane feels less concerned with legacy and more focused on memory. Rather than revisiting the heights of Beatlemania, the album looks at the years before fame arrived, offering a reflective portrait of youth, family and the friendships that helped shape modern music.
For longtime fans, the Roundhouse event promises a rare opportunity to hear those stories directly from McCartney himself, making it one of London’s most anticipated music events of the summer.
