Families across the UK can enjoy a free breakfast this summer thanks to the return of the Morrisons and Kellogg’s Breakfast Club, offering complimentary breakfasts for both adults and children throughout the school holidays.
Running from 29 June until 6 September 2026 at participating Morrisons Cafés, the initiative aims to help families cope with the increased cost of feeding children while schools are closed. Unlike many school holiday dining offers, no purchase is required, meaning every member of the family can enjoy breakfast completely free.

What’s Included in the Free Morrisons Breakfast?
Families simply need to ask for a “Kellogg’s Breakfast” at their local Morrisons Café.
Each free breakfast includes:
- A bowl of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies
- Choice of dairy or non-dairy milk
- A fresh apple or banana
The offer is available every day during the summer holidays, with one breakfast per person, per day, while stocks last.
New Research Reveals Summer Holidays Are Financially Challenging for Parents
The return of the Breakfast Club follows new research commissioned by Morrisons, highlighting the financial pressure many families face during the six-week break.
According to the supermarket:
- 54% of parents feel financial strain during the summer holidays.
- Nearly half (48%) admit they’ve skipped meals themselves to ensure their children can eat.
- Week three of the school holidays is when household budgets begin to feel the greatest pressure.
The research also found that breakfast is the meal parents are most likely to sacrifice when trying to stretch their finances.
Keeping Children Fed—and Entertained
The survey also revealed the everyday challenges parents face once school breaks begin.
The phrases parents hear most often include:
- “Can I have a snack?” (44%)
- “What are we doing today?” (43%)
- “I’m hungry.” (40%)
- “Can I play on my iPad, phone or console?” (36%)
- “I’m bored.” (31%)
- “Are we there yet?” (28%)
- “Can I have a playdate?” (22%)
To make visits more enjoyable, Morrisons Cafés will continue offering Kids’ Corners complete with books, crayons and new summer activity sheets, including colouring pages and word searches.
Morrisons and Kellogg’s Continue Their Partnership
Matt Khan, Senior Trader for Morrisons Café, said the initiative is designed to relieve some of the pressure families experience during the school holidays.
“We know that when schools close for the summer, family budgets get stretched to the absolute limit. By teaming up with Kellogg’s, we want to offer a welcoming space where families can enjoy a healthy breakfast together, completely free of charge.”
Andrew Ridge, Social Impact Manager at Kellogg’s, added that school breakfast clubs provide vital support during term time, making holiday initiatives like this even more important.
“When schools close for the holidays, that crucial support disappears. We’re incredibly proud to partner with Morrisons to keep those breakfasts coming all summer long.”
Morrisons’ Kids Eat Free Deal Is Also Continuing
Alongside the free Kellogg’s Breakfast Club, Morrisons is continuing its popular Kids Eat Free promotion.
Children aged 16 and under can receive one free children’s meal and drink when an adult purchases a main meal costing more than £5 from the Breakfasts or Classics menu.
How to Claim the Free Breakfast
Claiming the offer couldn’t be simpler:
- Visit any participating Morrisons Café between 29 June and 6 September 2026.
- Ask for a “Kellogg’s Breakfast” at the till.
- No additional purchase is necessary.
- Each customer can receive one free breakfast per day, subject to availability.
A Welcome Boost for Families This Summer
With household budgets continuing to feel the pressure during school holidays, the Morrisons and Kellogg’s Breakfast Club provides a practical way for families to start the day with a nutritious breakfast without worrying about the cost.
