Lidl is kicking off the festive season with a seriously sweet celebration. Marking 30 years of serving local communities, the supermarket has officially reached a major milestone: the opening of its 1000th UK store. And to honour the occasion, Lidl is giving away 1,000 limited-edition Gingerbread Store kits — completely free.
The only catch? You’ll need to be quick. The festive kits drop online at 10AM on Thursday 27 November.
A Gingerbread Store Inspired by East Grinstead
The exclusive gingerbread kit is modelled on Lidl’s brand-new East Grinstead store in Sussex. This build-it-yourself (or B-IY) creation comes with everything fans need to craft their own delicious mini Lidl, including:

The set was crafted by Sussex-based gingerbread artist Fay Miller, who also created a full-sized gingerbread replica of the new store. The larger model will be displayed inside the East Grinstead Lidl throughout the festive season, offering shoppers the chance to admire every detail up close.

To thank customers for supporting the brand on its journey to 1,000 stores, Lidl has hidden a festive surprise in ten of the kits: £100 Lidl Plus vouchers. A handful of lucky builders will uncover the golden gift, perfect for saving on their big Christmas food shop.
