LEWIS CAPALDI UNVEILS LIFE-SIZED LEGO SCULPTURE AT COVENT GARDEN’S CHALET OF PLAY

Singer-songwriter — and proud LEGO enthusiast — Lewis Capaldi has teamed up with the LEGO Group to celebrate the joy, nostalgia and creativity of the festive season. The star visited the LEGO Chalet of Play in London’s iconic Covent Garden, taking fans on a heart-warming trip through his childhood memories and his love for building.

The visit is part of a brand-new video series shot exclusively at the Chalet of Play, where Lewis reflects on building LEGO sets with his brother, how constructing bricks helps calm his mind while on tour, and even reveals a custom brick-built version of his latest album artwork, Survive.

“Having LEGO around helps take my mind off stuff,” Lewis explains. “I’m so focused on putting it all together that I’m able to put other things to the back of my mind. There’s a nice nostalgia tied into it — it’s a lovely feeling.”

A Show-Stopping LEGO Surprise

In the ultimate festive reveal, LEGO surprised Lewis with a life-sized sculpture of himself, made from over 41,000 bricks and requiring 207 hours to build. The jaw-dropping work of art left Lewis stunned — and instantly became the centrepiece of the Chalet.

Kuran Sharma, Head of Marketing at the LEGO Group, added:

“We loved hearing Lewis’ cherished LEGO memories. The holiday season is the perfect time to rediscover the joy of play, which is exactly what the LEGO Chalet of Play is all about.”

What to Expect at the LEGO Chalet of Play

The Chalet of Play is a free festive pop-up running from Saturday 8th November to Sunday 30th November on The Piazza, Covent Garden. Families, fans and curious builders of all ages can take part in hands-on activities inspired by some of LEGO’s most loved themes.

Highlights include:

The Creativi-Tree

Where Lewis hung his own custom LEGO ornament. Visitors can craft their own festive additions to help the tree shine brighter.

Build To Give

Create a LEGO heart, and LEGO will donate a set to a child in need as part of its annual charity initiative. More info on the global campaign can be found at the Build to Give page.

Tinsel Toss

A fairground-style challenge featuring brick-built favourites like Cataclaws and Dancing Groot.

LEGO Minecraft Zone

Complete quests, recover stolen villagers’ presents and save the holidays in this gaming-inspired adventure.

The fun continues beyond Covent Garden. Visitors can follow the Cataclaws Scavenger Hunt to the LEGO Store Leicester Square, home to even more interactive zones and festive surprises.
