The LEGO Group and Formula 1 have taken one of last year’s most memorable race weekend moments and made it even bigger. For the 2026 Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, every driver on the grid will take part in the now-iconic LEGO Drivers Parade, this time in their very own fully drivable LEGO minicar.
Following the overwhelming success of the 2025 Miami Grand Prix activation, the fan-favourite parade returns with 22 individual LEGO Formula 1 cars, each inspired by its respective team’s 2026 race livery and built using more than 28,000 LEGO bricks.
Fans can learn more about the collaboration via the official LEGO Formula 1 hub: https://www.lego.com/en-gb/families/formula1 and the official Formula 1 website: https://www.formula1.com/.
Every Formula 1 Driver Gets Their Own LEGO Race Car
Unlike last year’s event, where drivers shared ten LEGO vehicles, the 2026 edition gives every current Formula 1 driver their own custom-built single-seater.
Designed to reflect each team’s latest colours, logos and driver numbers, the miniature race cars combine authentic Formula 1 styling with LEGO’s signature playful aesthetic. Despite their brick-built appearance, the cars are fully operational and capable of reaching speeds of up to 25km/h, allowing drivers to complete a full lap around the legendary Silverstone Circuit before lights out.
The activation continues to blur the line between motorsport engineering and creative design, delivering one of the most entertaining pre-race spectacles on the Formula 1 calendar.
Built From More Than 28,000 LEGO Bricks
Creating all 22 vehicles was no small task.
The LEGO Group revealed that the project required a dedicated team of 20 designers, engineers and LEGO builders, who collectively spent more than 6,400 hours constructing the fleet at the company’s manufacturing facility in Kladno, Czech Republic.
Each minicar has been carefully engineered to carry a Formula 1 driver while maintaining authentic team branding and proportions, showcasing both LEGO’s technical capabilities and attention to detail.
Fans Asked for More—and LEGO Delivered
According to Julia Goldin, Chief Product & Marketing Officer at the LEGO Group, the expanded parade was driven directly by fan feedback following last season’s viral Miami event.
“We always listen to our fans, and it was clear from the 2025 Miami Grand Prix Drivers Parade that both fans and drivers wanted more. We’re back with a 2.0 version in a brand-new format, bringing even more fun and excitement to the parade.”
The original activation generated millions of views online as drivers laughed, raced and bumped their oversized LEGO vehicles around the circuit, quickly becoming one of Formula 1’s most shared social media moments.
Formula 1 Says the Bar Has Been Raised Again
Formula 1 believes the expanded parade demonstrates how creative partnerships can enhance the fan experience beyond the racing itself.
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer at Formula 1, said the 2025 activation reached billions of people worldwide and described the new version as an even bigger spectacle.
“Last year, the F1 LEGO Drivers’ Parade was one of the most creative and impactful activations we’ve ever seen at a race. This year the bar is being raised again and we can’t wait to see fans’ reactions all over the world.”
She added that transforming LEGO bricks into life-size drivable Formula 1 cars perfectly captures the sport’s ambition to continually surprise audiences and push creative boundaries.
A Partnership That Continues to Grow
The LEGO Group and Formula 1 announced their multi-year global partnership in 2024, aiming to introduce younger audiences and families to the sport through interactive experiences, licensed products and live event activations.
Since then, the collaboration has expanded with LEGO Speed Champions sets representing every Formula 1 team, fan zones at Grands Prix around the world and a growing range of family-focused experiences. The partnership also now extends into F1 Academy, further strengthening LEGO’s presence across motorsport.

Why the LEGO Drivers Parade Has Become a Fan Favourite
Formula 1 weekends are packed with tradition, but the LEGO Drivers Parade has quickly become one of the sport’s newest highlights.
It offers a rare opportunity to see some of the world’s best racing drivers leave fierce rivalries behind in favour of a little friendly competition, bringing smiles to fans of all ages before the serious business of racing begins.
With every driver now receiving their own LEGO race car, the 2026 edition promises even more entertainment as the British Grand Prix weekend gets underway at Silverstone.
