Kopparberg’s Iconic Core Range Bottles Have Been Redesigned By A University Student!

Kopparberg‘s bestselling 500ml bottled cider variants will be receiving a brand-new limited-edition label for the summer. Available from April, the limited-edition labels will feature across Kopparberg’s 500ml Strawberry & Lime and Mixed Fruit variants, the number one and two best-selling fruit cider flavours across both the UK’s on and off-trade respectively*, as well as Pear which is the UK’s bestselling pear cider. The bold and impactful designs will be on the brands 500ml bottles only.

The launch follows the phenomenal success of last year’s limited-edition Mixed Fruit Tropical Cider, which was the biggest cider launch of 2021, rocketing the variant from a limited-edition to a permanent fixture within 7 months. Mixed Fruit Tropical is now Kopparberg’s third best-selling cider flavour.

The design was created by Ravensbourne University London student, Ben McKay, who won a competition to see his designs appear across the ultimate canvas. Kopparberg is independent and family-run to this day and wanted to reflect this by championing up-and-coming independent talent as part of the labels’ redesign, opting to open the competition up to university students who may not otherwise have access to such an opportunity. As part of the prize Kopparberg will fund Ben’s university final year tuition fees, as well as provide him with an internship at a leading creative agency.

Off the back of the success of its first limited-edition competition, Kopparberg will be looking to run the competition once again for next year. Open from April – 31st August 2022; entrants will be invited to design their own limited-edition label for submission.
