GODET TO CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL BEER DAY 2026 WITH FIRST-EVER LOST AND GROUNDED TAP TAKEOVER IN LONDON!

Craft beer fans in London have a new reason to celebrate International Beer Day, as Godet in Islington is launching its first monthly brewery tap takeover with Bristol’s acclaimed Lost and Grounded Brewers.

On Friday 7 August 2026, the Essex Road wine pub and listening venue will dedicate its taps to Lost and Grounded Brewers, showcasing four of the brewery’s standout beers alongside live vinyl DJs for an evening of craft beer and music.

If you’re looking for things to do in London this August, the event promises an opportunity to sample a range of modern craft beer styles while enjoying Godet’s signature hi-fi soundtrack.

Lost and Grounded Takes Over the Taps at Godet

The one-night event marks the beginning of what Godet hopes will become a regular monthly tap takeover series, inviting breweries from across the UK to showcase their beers in the heart of Islington.

Leading the lineup is Party Time Lager, a Latin American-inspired lager brewed with 20% maize to celebrate Lost and Grounded’s 10th anniversary. The Bristol brewery has built a strong reputation for producing balanced, unfiltered and vegan-friendly lagers and ales using traditional European brewing techniques with modern equipment.

Guests will also be able to enjoy:

  • Party Time Lager (4.6% ABV) – Crisp, refreshing and brewed to mark the brewery’s milestone anniversary.
  • Dog Day Afternoon Australian-Style Pale Ale (4.8% ABV) – A limited-edition charity beer supporting StreetVet UK, featuring tropical flavours of peach, grapefruit and pineapple.
  • Running with Sceptres IPA (5.2% ABV) – A citrus-forward IPA brewed with American hops and a balanced malt backbone.
  • Hop Hand Fallacy Witbier (4.4% ABV) – A Belgian-style wheat beer with notes of bitter orange peel and coriander.

Each beer will be served fresh from keg throughout the evening, giving visitors the chance to sample several different styles in one visit.

More Craft Beer on Offer

Alongside the guest takeover, Godet’s regular craft beer selection will remain available, including:

  • Lost and Grounded Keller Pils
  • The Kernel Brewery Table Beer
  • Anspach & Hobday London Black Nitro Porter
  • Pressure Drop Pale Fire Pale Ale

The venue is equally known for its carefully curated wine list, making it a popular destination for both wine enthusiasts and craft beer drinkers.

Vinyl DJs Round Off the Evening

The celebrations begin from 5pm, while Godet’s resident vinyl DJs take over from 9pm, playing through the venue’s high-fidelity sound system to create a laid-back atmosphere that blends quality beer with carefully selected music.
