Ahead of the London Marathon this weekend, Sports Direct is offering a free lace tag engraving service to give participants a motivational boost from loved ones during their run – with the service available at the London Oxford Street flagship store from Wednesday 19th April to Saturday 22ndApril.
Alongside this, London Marathon runners can head to Sports Direct’s London flagship store post- completion of the monumental achievement and use the free medal engraving service with framing – available from Sunday 23rd April to Tuesday 25th April. The Oxford Street store is just a 20 minute walk from the London Marathon finish line!
If the excitement of the London Marathon has inspired people to get into running, Sports Direct is also offering free, bookable sessions with running experts, where consumers can book 1-to-1 advice on getting into running, kit selection, and tips on maintaining it. In-store running experts can be booked for a 1-to-1 session via the Sports Direct app.
The flagship store space features Gait Analysis technology, also known as walking or motion analysis. This helps runners identify whether they have pronation, supination, or a neutral gait so they can find the best running shoe for them, reduce injury and improve running efficiency – all without having to run on a treadmill instore. The Footwear Tap Guide provides runners with accessible insight as they shop, with scannable QR codes unlocking valuable knowledge on running footwear throughout the store.
