Celebrity chef Scott Hallsworth, the visionary behind Freak Scene and Kuroyoko, is taking things to a whole new level. His latest creation, Freak Momma, opens its doors on 11 November 2025 at 28 Parsons Green Lane, London SW6 4HS — and it’s set to be his boldest concept yet.
A Full-Throttle Fusion of Flavour and Chaos
Freak Momma amplifies everything Londoners loved about Freak Scene — rebellious, loud, and dripping in flavour. Billed as a “Japanese super-diner”, this new spot smashes together Tokyo izakaya vibes with classic diner indulgence. Expect music that hits as hard as the spice, unapologetically big energy, and a menu that’s as playful as it is precise.

From Nobu to Freak Scene to Freak Momma
Before launching his cult-favourite restaurants, Hallsworth cut his teeth at Nobu London, where he rose to Head Chef. From there, he created Kurobuta — a pioneering modern izakaya — and later, Freak Scene, which earned a loyal following for its fearless blend of Japanese flavours and rock ‘n’ roll attitude.
Today, his restaurants Freak Scene and Kuroyoko continue to push boundaries in London’s ever-evolving dining scene, with Freak Momma promising to be the wildest addition yet.
