JD X NIKE AIR MAX OG NEON CAMPAIGN BRINGS YOUTH CULTURE & ‘90S SNEAKER LEGACY BACK TO THE STREETS

JD Sports has unveiled its first major 2026 campaign with Nike Inc. — the highly anticipated JD x Nike Air Max OG Neon collection, celebrating Air Max Month with the return of one of sneaker culture’s most iconic silhouettes.

Launching in time for the 5th March 2026 drop, the campaign celebrates the cultural impact of the Air Max lineage, spotlighting individuals shaping modern youth culture while paying homage to the heritage of ‘90s sneaker design.

Forever Forward: Culture Creators Take Centre Stage

Rooted in the energy of trailblazers who continue to push culture forward, the campaign reflects JD’s commitment to youth culture and self-expression.

The campaign features a collective of cultural voices including social personalities Angry Ginge, Jakey, and the Bov Boys, alongside rising music voice Kasst 8 and broadcaster Louis Theroux.

Together, the crew represents JD’s ethos of creating cultural moments that don’t follow trends — but define them.

Much like the Nike Air Max 95, designed by Sergio Lozano in 1995, the campaign celebrates design innovation and era-defining style.

Social Media Mystery Builds Hype

The campaign launch began with a cryptic JD social post showing a stockroom filled with Air Max boxes being packed — with no caption or context.

The mystery quickly spread across social feeds as fans speculated about who was packing the orders and who they were being sent to.

The next day, Kasst 8 emerged as the campaign’s messenger, positioned on JD x Nike branded InPost Ltd lockers, sending texts to cultural figures reading messages like:

  • “I’ll be there soon”

  • “SHIPPED OUT”

  • “Check your InPost”

The reveal ended with the locker doors opening to expose the legendary Neon colourway — featuring the unmistakable grey gradient and electric green accents synonymous with Air Max heritage.

Culture in Motion: From Pool Tables to Podcast Studios

The campaign narrative continues with scenes of JD culture icons hanging out, playing pool and darts, before receiving surprise deliveries of the sneakers.

Kasst 8 later delivers a pair of OG Neons to Louis Theroux inside a busy podcast studio setup. Theroux’s stylist showcases styling options, including a bold neon tracksuit, before his phone buzzes with the message:

“Check your InPost.”

Opening the locker reveals an OG Air Max box, earning Theroux’s approval nod — symbolising OG status in both culture and media.

The Legacy of Air Max Design

The Air Max 95 is widely considered one of the greatest sneaker designs of all time, blending anatomy-inspired aesthetics with bold ‘90s energy.

The campaign continues this legacy by featuring:

  • Nike Air Max 90

The Air Max 95 helped redefine sneaker design through its layered construction and distinctive visual identity, helping launch a new era of performance lifestyle footwear.
