Fans of Formula 1 will have a unique way to kick off the 2026 season, as F1 Arcade London and F1 Arcade Birmingham prepare to host the UK’s only live watch parties for the Australian Grand Prix — starting bright and early at 4am.
While the 2026 championship begins in Melbourne, racing fans in the UK can still experience the thrill of race day with an immersive watch party complete with themed food, cocktails and competitive simulator racing. The events promise to bring the excitement of the opening race to London and Birmingham with a full Aussie-inspired celebration.
A High-Energy Start to the 2026 Formula 1 Season
Doors open at 3am on 8 March, giving fans time to settle in before lights out for the Australian Grand Prix at 4am. Attendees will be able to take on pro-grade racing simulators with three hours of unlimited gameplay, creating a trackside atmosphere that captures the spirit of Formula 1 race weekends.
With the crowd expected to be buzzing, fans will also be watching closely as Lando Norris begins his title defence following his championship victory.
F1 Arcade’s high-tech racing simulators allow guests to compete with friends or other fans before and during the race, making the watch party more than just a viewing experience.
Aussie-Inspired Food, Drinks and Fancy Dress
To celebrate the Melbourne opener, F1 Arcade is going all-in on an Australian theme. Guests can tuck into “Aussie Avo on Toast”, featuring avocado, toasted sourdough, cherry tomatoes and plant-based feta — a nod to one of Australia’s most iconic brunch staples.
The drinks menu will also feature a special cocktail called “Green and Gold”, inspired by Australia’s national sporting colours. The drink blends Ocho 8 Blanco tequila, Cointreau, Ancho Reyes tequila, green papaya, jalapeño and fresh lime for a bold flavour combination.
Fans are also encouraged to embrace the theme by dressing up for the occasion. From cork hats and kangaroo onesies to green-and-gold outfits, the best dressed guest will win a bottle of Moët & Chandon — just like Formula 1 race winners on the podium.
