SummerSlam returns for 2021, with a blockbuster line up of matches including 16-time world champion John Cena v Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. The biggest WWE event of the summer contains a host of exciting battles with Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks facing off for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship and Sheamus taking on Damian Priest for the WWE United States Championship.
This week in the run up to SummerSlam BT Sport will show original content, available on BT Sport and the BT Sport YouTube channel, including:
- Ariel Meets: Roman Reigns – esteemed journalist Ariel Helwani sits down with WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns ahead of his match with John Cena
- What Went Down: Drew McIntyre and Sheamus – The best of friends and the best of enemies sit down together to watch and talk through some of their greatest moments as well as their matches against each other
- NXT UK: The Origins – To celebrate the relationship between NXT UK and BT Sport, BT Sport has created a short film which shows the humble beginnings that led to the NXT UK superstars becoming the larger-than-life characters they are
- The Run-In – NXT UK’s Trent Seven and Jinny join Rob Armstrong for two episodes of The Run-In looking at all things WWE ahead of the SummerSlam Weekend. WWE Raw Women’s Champion Nikki A.S.H will also join the show ahead of her match with Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley
