Thai Square is expanding to its 11th site this month, having built an incredible reputation amongst Londoners and visitors alike on delivering authentic yet approachable Thai flavours in an immersive setting. The new Bayswater location, just moments from Hyde Park and Paddington, offers both beloved classics and new regional specials to West London’s food lovers, showcasing dishes inspired by Thailand’s diverse provinces alongside Thai Square’s familiar favourites.
Taking a step above the standard Thai Square favourites, the Bayswater branch will be serving up exclusive dishes inspired by the northeastern Isan region, led by Head Chef ‘Kied’ Paralak Burasit. Highlights are set to include the Buriram Chicken, offering grilled marinated chicken with a vibrant Isan-style papaya salad dressed in house-made fermented sauce. The Laab Ped will also be available, delivering a distinctive minced duck breast tossed with shallots, spring onions, mint, chilli flakes, and balanced by tangy lime juice and salted fish sauce.
Alongside these exclusives, the menu features signature dishes celebrated across Thai Square’s portfolio, including the Cha Cha Beef which showcases stir-fried topside infused with jungle spices and a hint of red curry paste, presented sizzling on a hot plate. These selections maintain the group’s commitment to over 150 dishes crafted fresh daily using premium ingredients flown in directly from Thailand.
The restaurant’s design merges cultural heritage with contemporary elegance. The 40-seat venue features antique stone walls and laterite bricks reminiscent of Buriram’s Phanom Rung Historical Park, with a modern touch of tropical-inspired wallpaper. The team behind the restaurant includes Managing Director Haim Danous, who holds a personal connection to the location, having previously sold his own artwork by Hyde Park just across the street from this new site.
Since opening its first restaurant in 1996 at The Strand, Thai Square has rapidly grown into one of London’s favourite destinations for authentic Thai dining. Honoured as one of the Top 100 Restaurants of the World 2024 and recipient of Best Asian Cuisine in Europe, the group continues to deliver expertly prepared dishes across London with tradition and quality at its heart.
Thai Square’s Bayswater restaurant opens on 12th June at 65 Bayswater Road, London W2 3PH. You can find out more and book your table for the grand opening and beyond right here.
