Artist Gabriella Anouk’s #SlimeSeries Launches in Camden

British art phenomenon Gabriella Anouk brings her stunning #SlimeSeries to a public audience for the first time in the UK at Camden Image Gallery this week.

Comprising her hyper-realistic, hand-crafted pencil drawings, and animated NFTs, Gabriella’s #SlimeSeries will be proudly unveiled at a VIP preview on Wednesday 14th September, and then go on show to the general public from Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th.  This will probably be the first and last time her mesmerizing original works will be exhibited together as three have already been sold and will be shipped to owners shortly after the exhibition.

This exciting event also marks the launch of Gabriella’s Metaverse exhibition, in conjunction with MORROW Collective and London Trade Art.   Joining forces with experts in fine art and digital ownership has been an important and exciting development for Gabriella’s practice.

Excited by Web3 and everything digital and yet with her feet very firmly in the physical world, Gabriella set out to enable people to enjoy both her physical art and digital ownership.  She has combined her 1/20 A1 Fine Art Editions with animated NFTs available through London Trade Art and for the first time she is offering her much coveted Pomegranate Amour original with an animated NFT via MORROW Collective.   She has also collaborated with MORROW Collective in the launch of 25 unique pomegranate arils (seeds), known as the Gems d’amour Collection.

London Trade Art offers a diversified art investment service that aims to make art accessible to everyone. Bringing a new affordable approach to collecting art through the innovative model of fractional ownership and payment in instalments for NFTs, LTArt Co-Founder Francesca Casiraghi says: “We’re so happy to be bringing Gabriella’s work to new audiences in this innovative way. Such partnerships reinforce our belief that the art market is primed for technological revolution, which could ultimately make it much easier for collectors to invest in.”

MORROW Collective is a fine art consultancy that introduces galleries and artists to the fast-growing NFT scene. This partnership has flourished following  Gabriella’s successful show in Dubai earlier this year.  Curator Anna Seaman says: “We are thrilled to bring Gabriella’s #SlimeSeries to new audiences. Her drawings are colourful, almost tactile in their composition and bring a new aesthetic to the market. The Metaverse exhibition allows people from all over the world to experience her work. Furthermore, Gabriella speaks to the social media generation and harnesses new technology such as augmented reality and virtual reality.”

Using slime-covered fruits as her subject, Gabriella’s #SlimeSeries merges several styles including fine art, photorealism, surrealism and pop art. Her works are intricately drawn using only colouring pencils, taking up to 200 hours a time. Each piece is also available as Giclee editions, printed on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper made from 100% cotton. They are all personally signed, numbered and float-mounted in high-quality handmade frames with non-reflective glass.

Gabriella will attend her #SlimeSeries exhibition each day at the independent, award-winning Camden Image Gallery, which welcomes the most dynamic artists from the UK and overseas. The exhibition will provide an ideal opportunity for influencers and creatives to photograph themselves and their products in front of her work.

The event is kindly supported by innovative brand Naughty Water, a refreshing blend of vodka and sparkling water, with exotic flavours including mango and passion fruit, blood orange and cranberry.

Maison Mirabeau is also providing guests with its delicious Pure Rosé wine, which boasts aromas of peach, lychee, passion fruit and flint.
