Anime streaming platform Crunchyroll is teaming up with the UK’s biggest celebration of Asian pop culture AnimeCon for its first UK event from Saturday 17th – Sunday 18th June.
Connecting anime and manga fans across 200+ countries and territories, Crunchyroll will be at AnimeCon UK this year. Taking place at the NEC, the UK’s largest exhibition venue, this promises to be the must attend event in 2023 for the keen anime, K-pop and manga fans of the nation.
With over 120 million viewers and 10 million subscribers, Crunchyroll has one of the largest collections of licensed anime in the world and serves the anime community across events, theatrical, games, consumer products, collectibles, and manga publishing.
With an extensive list of international guests and exhibitors across two legendary days, AnimeCon is centred around the anime, cosplay and manga obsessed. Visitors can expect to learn the day’s trending dance moves, dress like their favourite k-pop idol and get the best skin care tips from Korea’s top-tier beauty influencers.
Visitors can plan out their two days of jam-packed events settling down for never before screenings, exploring the artist alley and joining in on tailor-made panels featuring the world’s biggest creators. There will be an extra special Fandom after-party for some extra lucky fans. The full list of performers, artists, gamers, streamers and manga masters is yet to be released.
For two days this summer, Asian pop culture fans will meet the voices behind the most popular anime characters of all time from voice over wizard Zach Aguilar English voice of Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer, Maile Flanagan, the English voice behind the iconic Naruto to the English voice from the hottest anime on the planet right now Denji from Chainsaw Man, Ryan Cold Levy. But that’s not all, at the heart of the otaku community is cosplay and AnimeCon will be bringing the most hyped names in the pro cosplaying world including Lanie, The Emberwolf and Fukuro as well as talent japanese inspired artists such as conceptual digital artist Joshua Dunlop, and intricate explosions from student artist Hugo Pang.
