Emerging Cuban American alternative pop artist Anie Delgado is back in 2026 with her striking new single ‘Without You’, a dark gloss pop and R&B confessional that begins where real introspection starts – in a journal, alone, telling the truth.
The track originated from a raw journal entry penned in 2025 during Anie’s practice of The Artist’s Way, an influential creativity workbook. The line “I wish I could hate you like I hate me” became the emotional spark for the song, written in the wake of a relationship that forced her to confront how easily she extends grace to others while denying it to herself. “I give others far more grace than I ever give myself, especially people who hurt me,” she reflects. “That thought sat with me… I wanted to explore that struggle for autonomy in my music and from there ‘Without You’ was born.”
Though the single carries the silhouette of a breakup anthem, its emotional core is more complex, exploring the grief of losing someone while they are still alive. Co-written with A1 Krashn, Bailey Drew, and Anna Scholfield, the song captures the experience of watching a loved one transform until they became unrecognisable – and mourning both their change and the version of oneself that existed alongside them. Without You is about anger and tenderness coexisting, autonomy after loss, and the catharsis of standing on your own, not by choice, but necessity.
Sonically, Anie teamed up with LA-based Parisian multi-platinum producer Olivier Bassil – known for work with Don Toliver, Rod Wave, and Mary J. Blige – to bring her vision to life. Blending synthpop and R&B, the track mirrors the messy healing process she describes as “the bridge between a sleepless night of overthinking and the chaotic, feral energy of the night out that follows.” Heavy bass, shimmering synths, and dynamic tension turn into a cathartic dance floor release, inviting listeners to map their own losses onto the music.
About Anie Delgado
Born in Miami and shaped by the Florida Keys, Anie Delgado translates her Cuban American heritage into alternative pop music that’s intimate, textured, and unapologetically moody. Early memories of her Tía’s late-night parties, dominoes clacking and traditional Cuban rhythms filling the air, laid the foundation for her cinematic, emotionally charged sound.
After moving from Florida to New York City shortly after high school and now based in Los Angeles, Anie fuses alt-pop with electronic dance grit and soulful R&B undertones. From her debut single ‘Galaxy’ to her emotionally stark EP You Ruined Forever, she has built a universe that blends shadow, sparkle, and raw truth – music for anyone navigating messy healing journeys.
Anie’s talent has already caught the attention of Billboard, Earmilk, and CelebMix, with her track ‘Stranger from the Internet’ featured on CBS’ The Young and the Restless. Beyond music, her aesthetic and intensity have led to collaborations with YSL Beauty, Fabletics, Alani Nu, and Voda Swim. Songs like ‘Dancing While the World is on Fire’ demonstrate her commitment to blending the personal and political in her art.
Fans of Ariana Grande, Lorde, or Charli XCX will find much to love in Anie Delgado’s music – a soundtrack for anyone living through emotional upheaval, self-discovery, and reclamation.
