ALEX LYNN TO MISS OPENING ROUNDS OF FIA WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP DUE TO NECK PROCEDURE

Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA has announced that British racing driver Alex Lynn will miss the opening two rounds of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in Imola and Spa as he undergoes a planned medical procedure for a persistent neck issue.

Lynn, a key member of the team’s No. 12 driver line-up alongside Will Stevens and Norman Nato, has been managing the condition since late 2024, without any noticeable impact on his on-track performance. The 2025 season saw Lynn achieve a landmark victory in São Paulo and secure three pole positions, underlining his talent and consistency.

The team confirmed that the procedure is minor but necessary to ensure Lynn is fully fit for the remainder of the WEC season. “This is a proactive step to guarantee Alex is in peak condition for the challenges ahead,” a team spokesperson said.

For the season opener at Imola on April 19th, the No. 12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series. R will be piloted by Will Stevens and Norman Nato. Meanwhile, the team’s No. 38 car will be driven by Sébastien Bourdais and Earl Bamber, with fellow No. 38 driver Jack Aitken focusing on his Cadillac IMSA commitments in Long Beach.

Fans can follow updates on the FIA WEC season via the official FIA WEC website and stay connected with team news through Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA’s social channels.

Lynn’s temporary absence is a setback for the team, but Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA remains confident in its driver lineup to secure strong results in the season’s opening rounds.
