Fans of 90s pop culture are in for a treat this summer as YO! Sushi teams up with Tamagotchi UK for a brand-new limited-edition menu inspired by one of the decade’s most iconic digital pets.
Available in YO! restaurants across the UK from 21 July to 6 September 2026, the collaboration combines Japanese-inspired comfort food, exclusive Tamagotchi-themed dishes, collectible Gashapon toys and family-friendly dining offers.
YO! and Tamagotchi Celebrate Nearly 30 Years of 90s Culture
The collaboration brings together two brands that first arrived in the UK during the late 1990s. While Tamagotchi became a global phenomenon with its pocket-sized virtual pets, YO! helped introduce millions of diners to Japanese-inspired cuisine on the high street.
Now, almost three decades later, the partnership is delivering a menu designed to appeal to both nostalgic adults and a new generation of fans.

Chicken Katsu-Kun Sando (£12.95)
One of the headline dishes on the menu, the Chicken Katsu-Kun Sando features crispy chicken katsu served between soft brioche buns with slaw, smoky mayo and umami-rich katsu sauce.
Pumpkin Katsu-Kun Sando (£11.95)
A vegetarian alternative that swaps chicken for pumpkin katsu while retaining the same combination of slaw, smoky mayo and signature katsu sauce.
Mega Katsu-Chan Curry (£13.95)
For those looking for something more substantial, the Mega Katsu-Chan Curry combines chicken, prawn and pumpkin katsu served alongside aromatic Japanese curry sauce and steamed rice.
Mega Vegetable Katsu-Chan Curry (£12.95)
A meat-free option featuring pumpkin katsu and vegetable gyoza paired with curry sauce and rice.
Bulgogi Chicken Karaage-Kun Fries (£12.95)
Loaded fries get a Japanese-Korean twist with crispy fries topped with chicken karaage, spicy teriyaki sauce, sesame seeds and crispy onions.

Adding to the nostalgia, selected YO! restaurants will feature Tamagotchi Gashapon collectibles, giving diners the opportunity to take home a surprise souvenir inspired by the beloved digital pet franchise.
These collectible capsule toys are expected to be a major draw for both longtime Tamagotchi fans and collectors.

The collaboration also marks the return of YO!’s popular Kids Eat Free promotion during the summer holidays.
Children ordering a Kiddo Bento Box will receive limited-edition Tamagotchi stickers while enjoying a fully customisable meal.
