Landing in restaurants nationwide from today, the cult favourite marks Chipotle’s second menu innovation of 2026, signalling a faster, more dynamic approach to its British offering.
Last seen on menus in 2024, Chicken al Pastor is making a comeback after sustained demand from fans across social media, with many calling for the protein’s return. Prepared fresh each day in small batches, the dish features grilled chicken marinated in a bold blend of seared morita peppers and ground achiote, balanced with pineapple sweetness, fresh lime and hand-chopped coriander.
The return reflects Chipotle’s growing commitment to its UK customer base, keeping menus fresh while responding directly to consumer demand. As one of the most requested limited-time items the brand has ever offered, Chicken al Pastor’s comeback feels like a natural next step in Chipotle’s evolving UK strategy.

For the first time, UK customers will also be able to order Chicken al Pastor in Chipotle’s new High-Protein Cup format, designed for those looking to maximise flavour while hitting their nutrition goals. The new format aligns with growing consumer interest in protein-forward meals and adds another layer of customisation to Chipotle’s menu.
Chipotle Gift Cards Arrive in the UK
Adding to the excitement, Chipotle is also launching Gift Cards in the UK for the very first time. To celebrate, the first guest to order Chicken al Pastor in each participating restaurant on 10th February will receive a £100 Chipotle Gift Card*.
The launch makes it easier than ever for fans to share their favourite burritos, bowls and tacos, whether for birthdays, celebrations or just an excuse to eat more Chipotle.
Halal-Suitable Chicken al Pastor Available Nationwide
Chipotle has also confirmed that a halal-suitable version of Chicken al Pastor will be available in nearly half of its UK restaurants, making the returning menu item accessible to even more customers.
