WORLD BEE DAY 2026: EARLY BEES COFFEE TO GIVE AWAY 200 FREE HONEY MATCHA & COFFEE LATTES IN HOLBORN

Coffee lovers in London can celebrate this year’s World Bee Day with a free drink giveaway at Early Bees Coffee, as the independent café spot shines a spotlight on the importance of bees in the global coffee ecosystem.

On 20 May, the Holborn-based coffee brand will hand out 200 complimentary salted honey matcha and coffee lattes, each served alongside a fresh sunflower to highlight the crucial role bees play in pollination and biodiversity.

Early Bees Coffee Celebrates The Link Between Bees And Coffee

While bees are often associated with honey production and agriculture, many people don’t realise that coffee production also depends heavily on pollinators. According to the café, more than 70% of coffee flowers rely on bee pollination, making bees an essential part of the journey from plant to cup.

The activation aims to raise awareness about declining bee populations in Britain while encouraging customers to think more consciously about sustainability and food systems.

A ‘Hive To Cup’ Coffee Philosophy

Founded around a “hive to cup” concept, Early Bees Coffee places honey at the heart of its menu rather than simply using it as a sweetener.

The company says it works closely with local beekeepers and draws on more than 300 years of beekeeping heritage to bring sustainability, provenance and storytelling into every drink it serves.

The menu also offers an alternative to the heavily sweetened beverages that dominate much of the modern coffee market, instead focusing on natural sweetness and bee-friendly ingredients.

Where To Get The Free World Bee Day Drinks

Visitors heading to Holborn on 20 May will be able to claim one of the free salted honey matcha or coffee lattes while stocks last.

The sunflower giveaway accompanying each drink is intended as a visual reminder of the beauty and biodiversity supported by bees and other pollinators.
